Has any one tried recipes in the free ebook - Cuisine Française Vegan by Virginie Péan - 75 recipes in celebration of Paris Vegan Day 2010 ? The ebook is in French but the recipes are straight forward and well formatted to facilitate Google translation en bloc. Cuisine Française Vegan http://absolutegreen.blogspot.com/2010/ ... an-75.htmlThe savory recipes look good, but the Moelleux et Coulant au chocolat (French version of a Lava Chocolate Cupcake) will get a test run for our dessert tomorrow.

Magnifique! This is exciting.
ETA: Darn, I can read the recipes but the conversions are what really get me. My oven doesn't have a Celsius button!

I was just looking at this and I was tempted to make every single recipe. Everything is so gorgeous (and simple!)
Plus, it's a fun challenge to read recipes in French. New vocab, yay.

Cool! A book that provides me with delicious recipes AND forces me to use my waning french.

To convert °C to °F, double it, write a letter to the US government asking to use dual measurements as part of a transition to meet up with most of the rest of the metric-using world, then add 30.
Merci! J'allais acheter un livre de recettes en français, mais ça c'est super!

Wow! Thank you so much for sharing this with us, just had a quick browse and it looks fabulous. Padraigin wrote: the Moelleux et Coulant au chocolat (French version of a Lava Chocolate Cupcake) will get a test run for our dessert tomorrow. These sung to me too! P.S does anyone know what size a coffee spoon and soup spoon are? Equivalent of tsp and tbsp perhaps? We have degrees Celsius over here in England but normal spoon measurements!

This is an awesome way to practice my French! After the holidays I think I'm going to attempt one of these recipes.

I've been "internet friends" with Virginie, the blogger who put the ebook together, for a few years now! She was one of the first blogs I started to follow when I got interested in vegetarianism. She's cool!

greenknittinggal wrote: . Does anyone know what size a coffee spoon and soup spoon are? Equivalent of tsp and tbsp perhaps? Yes, that's right. c. à soupe = tablespoon (15ml) c. à café = teaspoon (5ml) If any one has probs with translation - please post the questions in the thread and others can help. I'm not bilingual but other PPkers are. Plus, it looks like there are quite a few of us who want to brush up on French language skills while having fun. I made the little chocolate lava cupcakes on Sunday and they were fantastic ! They didn't last until dessert. As soon as they came out of the oven before dinner - the kids had to have them. So we went with the spirit and had dessert for appetizers and then the appetizers at the end of the meal. Great fun !
