I fear pie making. So much dough rolling, so many things to go wrong.

Just semi-homemake that shiitake and buy the premade crust. No one will ever know.

I always buy premade crusts too. When I get this book, I'm going to end up feeling like Isa and Terry are staring at me from their author photos on the book jacket and judging me.

I don't really find pie making that difficult. I think it's easier than cake, and cake is easy!

I was trying to resist saying that making pie is easy as pie, but when you think about it, I suppose it really is the only thing that is exactly easy as pie.

Actually, we're gonna say to buy premade crust if you don't want to roll. BUT. We're also doing a bunch of pressed crusts and a cobbler, crisp or two.

The trilogy should be sold in a cute box set, what a great gift for anyone who doesn't have any of the books yet! Which rules out pretty much all of the ppk, but still, think of all the not-yet-vegans whose minds would be blown by a box set of vegan dessert cookbooks!

I was just coming back here to ask if that's a possibility. I need the other books and I have no money of my own to buy them with. A boxed set would probably convince my mother.

Are those of us who tested the other cookbooks going to get to test this one as well? I could go for a year of pie making!

I'm D-E-F-I-N-I-T-E-L-Y excited to get some good ideas on homemade vegan crusts!! I prefer to make my own stuff, plus it's so much less expensive.

YIPPEE for a pie book! The only recipe I have and use is one I picked up on Alton Brown that uses applejack instead of water...it is really good, but not the easiest crust to roll out. It will be great to get some other recipes, and with instructions in that Isa and Terry way...real world, hands on, I so understand these instructions way.

I have never made a pie. I am simultaneously scared and excited by the prospect of this book.
