I really want to make this tonight, but have no nori. Neither did the stores right around me. Do you think I can use wakame? Any suggestions on how much?

Well, in case all the participants of this thread (ha!) are interested, the wakame seemed to work out fine. I don't know how much I put in, I just grabbed some, maybe a couple tablespoons. I thought the soup was good, very clammy! I have some taste issues with seaweed because it strongly reminds me of sea creatures and grosses me out, but I'm trying to get over that and associate the sea with yummy, nutritious plants instead. My partner loved it. The shiitakes work really well as little glammies because they're so chewy.

I bet dulse flakes would work too...I just used those in some tuno casserole, and they were yummy and very mild.
