Has anyone used this cookbook? It's by Cybele Pascal. I don't have it, but I tried her recipe for Cherry Oat Scones from the book (I used cranberries instead), and they were great. Trying to determine if the rest of the book is good - I think the recipes are egg and dairy free, but maybe it kind of flies under the vegan radar because it just says "allergen free". http://www.amazon.com/Allergen-Free-Bakers-Handbook-Cybele-Pascal/dp/1587613484/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_topOH YOU GUYS also I used her recipe for vegan gluten free donuts, which isn't in the book, I think, but is on her blog. Seriously exciting. http://wholelivingdaily.wholeliving.com/2010/06/fried-donuts-food-allergy-recipe-challenge-5-2.htmlBTW, I can't find the superfine brown rice flour where I live so I've just been using regular, and it works fine, though I'm sure it would be better (less dense, mostly) if I could find it. I think I'm gonna make the chocolate chocolate chunk cookies on the amazon page today.

I just did a search for this book and found this thread plus a few others and a few other ppkers have posted in other threads about how good this book is. Thank for linking to the donut recipe I am going to try it! And I wish there was a Kindle version but there isn't so I think I'll order the actual book.

I did end up buying it! Actually it's probably me in a lot of those threads talking about how good it is. It's really good.

I really liked the carrot ginger cupcakes (and I'm not really a cupcake fan) and the oatmeal choc. chip raisin cookies. And the double chocolate cookies. But everything has been pretty good so far. My roommate (the actually gf one) made the pizza crust and bread and I think she was pretty happy with how they turned out. OH, the beer bread! The beer bread is good.

I have it and I've been meaning to cook some stuff out of it, but it's been way too hot here.

I made the Vegan Brunch Banana Flapjacks using the flour mix from this cookbook. I had to turn the heat down to medium low and they were a little difficult to flip, but the results were amazingly good.

Just ordered this yesterday. I don't have food allergies (except dairy doesn't agree with me - moot point these days) but I want to learn to cook for people who do :)
