I told my partner I was going to make Mushroom & Cannellini Paprikas with Scarlet Barley & Caulipots and he didn't know what the hell I was talking about. He thought I made it up.

Just think in the future everyone will know about caulipots and nooch.

I think I'm making the Upside-Down Lentil Shepherd's Pie tomorrow night, and the Pad Thai Salad and the Ginger Soba later in the week.

I made Pasta Con Broccoli tonight because I had everything already on hand (and also because I was going to make Mac and Trees but then realized I needed broth powder) It was really good! I think I need to start halving these recipes or figuring out which ones will freeze well because it's just me eating them.

You guys! Go make the red Thai tofu! It's one of my new favourite things in the world. Pretty sure I'm going to eat this at least once every couple of weeks now.

I blogged about it here, there's a photo that makes me want to devour it all over again.

I got the book yesterday but haven't had a chance to sit down and look at it. I hope to sneak in some time today.

I loved that, too! Try the Thai green beans. I made those like 3-4 times during testing.

definitely - these are on our regular rotation. I still haven't made the pad thai, because the sprouts in texas suck.

Solipsistnation ate 3/4s of a batch of Caesar Chavez dressing yesterday (which is somehow still under 200 calories! amazing!) and basically licked his bowl clean. He went back for more KALE to pour it on. He's not the sort of person who goes back for more kale. If that's not a testament to this book, I don't know what is.

Is there a separate typos/omissions/etc thread for this yet, though? I've found a bunch but am not sure where to post them.

My Amazon order came in today! From testing I remember these as the most amazing: goddess niçoise salad, surefire seitan, Caribbean curried black-eyed peas w/ plantains, and jerk asparagus. I also know that Era and I are having the black-eyed peas & greens and the ginger mashed sweet potatoes w/ apples for New Year's.

So excited to have this book right now!

Oh yes the goddess nicoise was so incredible. I second the jerk asparagus too!

I've only had the book for 5 days but I'm in love.

The creamy goodness of the Sanctuary Dressing dressing has already been made 3 times. My Swiss MIL (aka the dairy pusher) actually took down the recipe to make at home. This is the very first recipe she's ever asked from me in 7 years.

I can't wait to cook my way through the whole book.

Thank you, Isa !

This doesn't seem to be available anywhere in the UK yet. Does anyone know if the UK version will be any different, I can see someone has mentioned they want the US version. Might just order it from the US because I am not sure I can wait any longer!

The copies for sale at the Book Depository have the same ISBN as the American version. On Amazon they additionally have a 'UK version' listed with a different (not as good!) cover... but it's not currently available seemingly. I ordered off BD today and while it says 'usually despatched within 48 hours' I just noticed it also has a publication date of 6th Jan. Hmmmm. I'll be checking my email over the next couple of days to see what they say- currently my order status is showing as 'processing.'

Thanks, I have just ordered from the US but was just looked back and realised I have selected the longest delivery option so I am not sure if it will arrive before Christmas anyways

I've only had this for 2 days and I LOVE IT. Oh my god. All I want to do is cook from it, all day.
I made the Potato Spinach Curry (my first curry! I know, what the fizzle) and it was so good (I used sweet potatoes instead of regular), holy shiitake.
I made the Balsamic Vinaigrette which is obviously my new favorite standard.
I just made the Bistro Broccoli Chowder - didn't have potatoes so my review is not worthy, I guess, but I used celery and the parsnips and it is still amazing. Amazing.

What should I make next? I'm overwhelmed.

I just got it for my Birthday, today! I'm really excited for the salads. Unlike other cookbooks, there is nothing similar I've tried before in that section.

I've got the lentil shepherd's pie cooking now. I forgot to buy the zucchini, so I added some extra carrots and mushrooms, and it seems to work.

This upside-down shepherd's pie is GOOD. The lentil part and the caulipots part were each pretty good but nothing special on their own, but it tastes perfect together.

I made the arabian lentil and rice soup for dinner tonight. So easy! and cheap! and delicious! I added just a bit of arugula so that my meal included something green. That one is going in the Meal Jar.

I just ordered it, hooray! All the reviews on here convinced me even though I normally don't buy cookbooks until I have had a chance to see them. Everything sounds so good, I can't wait!
