This will be shipping around February 19th.
I'm very excited about this book. Strangely enough because I've yet to "bake" with Chloe. I've not made one single dessert that she's got. But I LOVE Chloe's kitchen (though I've only made... one thing. the Double Double Burgers but I've made it twice and its so freaking amazing).
But I think I can't wait to see what she came up with, and I love baking books. (Esp. when they add pie).

I'm glad you started this topic. I wanted to, but then I'd feel obligated to buy the book right away, and I really shouldn't! So instead I'll watch this thread and plan what to make after you all have found the best things.
Daisy, if you want to try out a dessert from the last book, I'd go with the banana cupcakes. They're pretty simple but delicious - my omni friends request these for parties.

hehe no problems! :) I figure the closer the shipping date, we should be talking about it. It's kind of weird that Chloe's so quiet about it too. Many authors (even if it's on Facebook) chat up about it, but.... nothing, nada zilch).
I'll check out the banana cupcakes. I've got four very ripe bananas right now so i bet it will be easy to do so.

I have pre-ordered this too. It's a pretty safe bet considering how many of her recipes I have loved from her 1st book. But the last thing I need is another cookbook. I just can't resist!

I love her first book but I don't usually buy dessert books (unless one of Isa and Terry's) but I might check out this one. Mmmm...Chloe's Kitchen has so many good, easy recipes that are now in my regular rotation, anything that features her cooking style is always gonna be tempting to me!

I have a hard time justifying buying "special occasion" books like that, but her first book is so good.

I didn't want another dessert book, because, well, I have ample amounts of assparagus. So I wasn't going to get it until I read that there are muffin recipes. And tiramisu pancakes. Those are breakfast, right? So I had to pre-order it. Had. To.

If there are a lot of breads/muffins/non-dessert things, I might reconsider...

This thread really makes me want to get this book, but I hardly ever bake! And I have like 1 billion baking recipes I still haven't tried! Why am I so bad at resisting temptation when it comes to (cook)books?!

I so don't need to be making more desserts but I like the majority of what I have made from her first book so I had to pre-order. Can't wait, I love new cookbooks!

Work got this, so of course, I shall report:
It's the exact same layout as Chloe's Kitchen. TONNES of photos (of the food, and of Chloe). I think she's a cheater cheater pumpkin eater, because she has a cupcake section and a cake section, which basically = the same thing, because hello. put a cake in muffin pans and boom! cupcake! LOL
there are the following sections:
Breakfast for Dessert <<--- Cookies/Bars <<---- Cakes Cupcakes Spoonable Desserts (only one ice cream recipe. booohisss). Drinks!
(i think i'm missing something).
those look like it was worth it for the book alone. I'm not the biggest "cake" person but i figure sooner or later i'm going to have a boyfriend, then get married and then have kids, and maybe THEY will like cake.
it's cute and very "Chloe" like. :) oh - and everything can be made "soy free" no tofu as eggs or anything, and if you want to switch out butter for coconut oil, it's totally dooable :)

Okay. I made the blondies.... and they were... um. fail.
the only swap i made was coconut oil for butter, and for the second time that i've made a direct "butter" to "coconut oil" swop, I've found the final product WAY too oily. It makes me wonder if the structure is different (I don't see why it is, maybe it's in my head). But not only that I had a complete mess of crumbs. (which, by itslef was really delish). so i added some milk to make it more doughy, and it was still a crumbly, oily, (but kind of yummy) mess.
(boo).

Bummer. I just made a similar crumbly, oily mess Sunday night when I made the iced apple squares from her other book. I was hoping that was just a fluke.

I cancelled my pre-order. I didn't "save" anything, with the fail recipe (and the fact that it focuses more on cakes), It's not for me (I'll probably "eventually" get it again, but for right now, i'll just wait for Tami/Celine's book).
