I made jalapeno cornbread burgers last night - a baking tray full plus the remaining dough in a pan. I used fairly coarse cornmeal and was initially worried they'd crack and fall apart, but they all ended up staying in one piece. I'll definitely be making these again - plenty of taco seasoning left. I've been weighing and grinding dried onion flakes, since onion powder isn't widely available here.

I made more burgers. Over the weekend I made the bacon and egg breakfast burgers. I added a little nooch for cheesiness and served them on bagels with EB. They were great.
Last night I made the enchillada burgers. I liked these, but next time I will double the olives and jalapenos so that I get some in every bite.

I ate the sweet potato chipotle burgers last night. They were very good, but next time I'm cutting back the peppers even more!

Those pinto burgers start off by looking like they'll never form, but don't give up. I made them thin and had them quesadilla style with pepperjack.

^^ wha?
Anyway, I made the bacon cheeseburgers and they were amazing! With the leftover bacoz we made a yummy sauce for the burgers and for dipping basically anything in: mix some bacoz with vegenaise and a couple of chopped up chipotles in adobo sauce, add a spoonful of the chipotle sauce and thin out a little with soymilk if desired. Yum!!!!!!! I have been drooling over this book since I got it.

Has anyone made the Thai-inspired black bean, tofu, and potato burgers? I'm thinking of substituting baked sweet potatoes for the red potatoes.

Is anyone else super excited to have this book over Memorial Day weekend? I'll be making tons of vegan burgers as tasty propaganda for the non-vegan masses!

I'm making Isa's potato salad, too! I'm going to grill the bacon cheeseburgers and I'll probably use the coconut bacon from AVK.

I made the bacon cheeseburgers last night and they totally exceeded my expectations. I haven't had much luck making burgers with TVP in them before, they never seem to come together and all the TVP bits just fall out. But these formed perfect burgers without any trouble. They're really hearty and filling. But the recipe definitely makes more than four, we made five with some left over, and they were still pretty huge.

The bacon cheeseburgers are pretty good and probably one of the few that I'd feel comfortable sticking directly on a grill. I made the aloha burgers and they were pretty good. So far, I'd say the bacon cheeseburger burgers and the zucchini mushroom burgers are my favorite.

I made the mushroom chiken burger last night. I was worried that it wasn't going to hold together, but accidentally overcooking the TVP worked in my favor. These had a great mellow flavor and were a nice balance between soft and firm. I ate mine a whole wheat bun with vegenaise, spinch, sliced tomato and sprouts.

Since I got the book, I've made the dal burger and the sundried tomato-pesto burger (for the latter I used the edamame pesto from AFR instead of the one in this book). Both very good.

I made the PB&J burgers and they were so yummy! Unfortunately, I only got one of them because my husband took the rest of them yesterday when he was working in the mountains. He said they were the perfect thing to snack on while snowshoeing! I think they would be great to take on hikes or camping too.

Also, the agave buns are the best buns in the world. I don't see any reason to use another recipe ever.

We made the Chicken Salad Sammy earlier this week and loved it. It has tons of fresh veggies, grapes and walnuts. I thought it was the perfect texture and was even better the second day.

Agreed! They are so easy too. I've never been able to make bread of any kind and somehow managed these.

Is the 2 TB of liquid smoke listed in the Pizza Burgers recipe a typo? That seems like a ton, especially for 6 burgers.

I just got this for my birthday, I can't wait to go shopping & make some burgers. I'm thinking of starting with the Bacon Cheeseburger. Can any UK people recommend a good store bought BBQ sauce? And tell me where to buy bacon bits?
