I got an email today from Amazon that my pre-order was canceled due to them no longer being able to get them from the publisher.

Did something happen? Is it being distributed independently and not through Amazon? Is the author a PPKer?

Anyone know anything?

I got a message about this on FB by someone too. I don't know what has happened and I have contacted my publisher to find out! I am quite upset and annoyed because I don't want people to get turned off the book by this. It is being distributed through the normal channels and is at the printers right now, so is only weeks away. I will post more once I know more.
I really must apologise to you xmiyux and everyone else who has preordered and is getting this message.

My cookbook addiction alone will guarantee a purchase. I'm glad to hear it will be a good purchase.

Thanks, EFCLiz and Celyn!!
Apparently what happened was as the publisher changed distributor the changing of the release date on Amazon fell through the cracks. It has been changed and even though it may take a few days for Amazon to update it will be showing as available again soon. I don't know what this means for the people who have been cancelled by Amazon though. Again I can only apologise.

Well I signed up at Amazon to receive an email when a date was announced through them. When I get the message I'll try to remember to post here and let you know!

The cookbook arrived from Amazon on my porch this afternoon.

[sexy voice] Oh my.... [/sexy voice]

Many cookies will be made this weekend. Most likely I will start with the tropical banana cake with coconut icing because the picture alone made me drool.

So now that it is out in the wild, any testers want to weigh in and tell me what are the recipes I must make first?

Oh my. Without even looking at my list, the cheese and onion pies, mince pies, and the pea and tarragon tart. Not
sure if they're the right names or even made the book, but they stand out in my memory as amazing.

Mince pies didn't make the cut in the end, :( but the Cheese and Onion pasties, and the Pea Tart are there. The sausage rolls are still there too!

You need to put those mince pies on your blog then.

I'm using the recipe for the Mince part for the project I am working on right now, and using the pie part as a variation. If you don't have it Liz I can send it to you!

The strawberry rhubarb crumble top pie was a staple here when I was testing - it's so so so good!! The parsnip orange muffins were also delicious!

I made them for my Mom for Mother's day - they are worth the price of the book all by themselves.
Much better than any I've had before - even better than the ones at Beetroot in London.

I also made the Lemon Bread and Butter pudding - so good, even after I poured way too much lemon extract
into it because of the weird new spout on the bottle.

Amazingly enough, considering my ridiculous sweet tooth, the first thing I made was the Savory Pinwheels with the Caramelized Onion and Roasted Garlic filling. So good!

What's the recipe on the cover? I want those next! :)
