I've fallen down the rabbit hole into a Lush addiction. So far I am really liking: Herbalism, Full of Grace, Celestial, Rock Star, Sultana of Soaps, Dream Cream, Cynthia Sylvia Stout, and The Big Tease. Wow, that seems like a lot of stuff when I see it all typed out... I want to try a bunch of the bath stuff, too. Something about that store is really addictive.

so, i tried angels on bare skin for the first time yesterday (morning & night, then again this morning) and i think i might really like it! i struggle a bit with the "make a paste" step (dropping/melting bits into the sink while "stirring" in my hand, not enough to go around), but i watched a couple of demos on youtube today and i think part of the problem is that i'm using too small of a piece. i was trying to remember what the guy showed me last week and i just remember it being amazingly small, but the youtube demo peeps are definitely using bigger pieces than i am, so i'll give that a go tonight.

so i got none of your beeswax once before and i didn't think it was that great but then i ran out and i missed it. the container i just got has spots on top and it's softer and doesn't seem to work as well. anyone else have that experience?

i said this on twitter already but just to weigh in for anyone else who might care (heh), i've used at least 4 tins and i have a few tins in "back stock" (har har) and they've all done this at some point or another, but it hasn't ever seemed to change the smell or consistency or anything. even a couple of my never-used tins have a few spots on them like this. i'd say as long as it's not way past its date on the bottom, it should be fine? the one i keep in my purse gets a lot softer than the ones that stay in my house (i'm guessing due to temperature fluctuations) but it still seems to work just the same.

Yeah, I had the same experience. I bought one of their lip tints at the same time and it was a lot creamier.

Same here. None of your beeswax was grainy and unsatisfying. Let them eat cake was awesome.

i'm always fascinated by the variations in people's experiences with none of your beeswax. i'm super picky about lip balm (and i feel like i've tried a billion of them!) and it's one of my absolute favorites! i don't remember ever having a grainy problem with mine, and i love how creamy and long-lasting it is. i wonder if it's a difference in batches (i.e., the product itself), or if it's a difference in how/where we all keep our tins, how long it takes us to go through them, etc. (i.e., user differences), or something else entirely.

I left my rather new angels on bare skin at a hotel. Cue extreme sadness.

Oh man, I am so pissed off! Not at Lush, it's not their fault, but the damn post office! I ordered a bottle of Tramp online because I used to LOVE it so much and they don't sell it in stores here anymore, only on the website. The package came this morning in a sealed royal mail 'sorry we forked up your parcel and it got busted open' bag. And yeah, all the box had left in it was some packing material and an invoice :(

I emailed them, but I feel bad because it wasn't their fault! Argh! I guess I'll see what they see tomorrow.

Yeah, any decent company would just suck it up and send you a new one. Stuff like this is part of the cost of doing business.

I haven't been into a Lush store in years, but for some reason I started reading this thread, got sucked into the Lush website, and now I want everything. Especially Ro's Argan Body Conditioner (which I'm confused by, but whatever), Big shampoo, Rub Rub Rub (I just saw Ocean Salt in a magazine and was bummed to find out it's not vegan), Angels on Bare Skin, and like a million other things. I'm overwhelmed!

Big shampoo is awesome. I can't believe how little I need and my hair is already so much healthier.

I totally asked the girls at Lush yesterday about the makeup and they were like "GASP WHERE DID YOU HEAR THAT" and I made up something.
