thank you! it's time to re-do my fingers, but my toes still look fine, so i think i'm just going to flip-flop this mani for the next week.

my nails are a sponged green/purple tip...just goofing off this week.

I did some nails in Chanel Graphite and some nails in Chanel Blue Boy for graduation yesterday. I was in a hurry and ruined my top coat bottle by forgetting to wipe off the brush, but I got graphite glittery sprinkles on all the blue nails too, so it looked nice.

It isn't very summery feeling though, so I'll probably change to Chanel June and May later.

You guys! I think you all broke me because I've never cared about nail polish before, but now I want some. So where do I start? Do I need top coats and base coats and stuff (and which ones)? And what's a good thing to make my nails stronger? I'm clumsy and always break them while doing really innocuous things. Help me be a fancy lady!

**I am going to disclaimer this by saying that I keep hearing rumblings that China Glaze does third party testing, but I can't actually find anything via google, so if you've heard the same please know that I already feel like a dick because I heard it twice like, five hours after I bought these.**

Okay so, Sunday afternoon I asked Brian to go to the store with me before he went back to Decatur for the work week, and then I made a joke about going to Sally's because I needed some base coat. And the idiot drove me there! When I walked in, I noticed that they had a big rack of clearance polish, more than the normal few bins on a bottom counter, and most of it was Hunger Games colors. Plus the Dark Shadows ones. When I took them up the girl was like, "Okay, the CG's will cost you $1 something..." Apparently all of the clearance items were half off this weekend, and it was 30 minutes until closing so they had already taken the sign down. So I went back and got some more:

And then I got a CG magnetic (it's olive greenish) and the magnet because i've never tried one, and i'm not going to get to for any less.

And here is Luxe and Lush over Stone Cold. Luxe and Lush reminds me of a bonfire, when the wind blows little bits of paper/ash up and they're still glowing. I liked Stone Cold alone, but since I don't have a matte top coat and I wanted it to last more than half a day, I decided to layer it anyway.

I already talked to MBM in a pm about this, but China Glaze are still cruelty free according to Peta's list. They're owned by American International who are on the list as a catch all for all their brands

Or, hmm. Peta has some of Aii's other brands listed on their own. Has there ever been an instance where a parent company didn't test but a subsidiary did? Because that sounds absolutely bizarre. My correspondence with CG as well as Vegan Claws correspondence has said they don't test.

It does look like glowing embers! Nice! Also, blurple <3 I don't have any purple nail polish at the moment and I feel that I need some? I think it's because I often matched my nails to my hair when I had blue hair and now it's purple and I don't have any nail polish that matches... I used to have this really deep purple with red shimmer that I really liked.

very cute - is it gelish?? I've seen these be done with shellac, I love them.

(Just so you know if it's gelish - I don't know of it's vegan-ness but gelish is animal tested!)

:( Is it really? I did a search and came up with a few "we think it's vegan".. but that's it. How do you know? I'm kind of devastated.

I know, it made me sad too. It states in the MSDS for Gelish about results of tests on animals :0(

Help! I just goot back from Ulta and did not find the color I'm looking for. I want...no...I NEED a yellow/gold/ochre creme, no sparkle color. Not neon. No lemon. Rather a dark slightly dirty yellow. Anyone seen such a color this season? I dreamt about it last night and am now obsessed ;-P
