I was going to say the same thing. Also, BL has Cheeky Chops which is a creme but is more of a banana color than mustard... I haven't seen Bumster in real life but I have Cheeky Chops and loooove it.

I've never tried a mustard yellow, but I have bad luck with yellows. They're usually super sheer for some reason, so I only have like, three and don't love any of them.

Butter London Bumster looks like it might work! If I can find it. I poured over the BL display at Ulta last night and did not see this one. The display was very disorganized though. I'm a little skittish about ordering over the internet what with color accuracy on monitors being what it is.

The Cheeky Chops might be too bright for me. I've got Butter London's MacBeth on right now and that's as bright as I've ever been in my life. Gotta take this slow girls. First polish in about 20 years and I'm 49 now ;-}

Although I'm def doing the candy corn paint job for Halloween this Fall! It's a whole new world and it took me 49 years to discover it.

More than monitor color, the best way to find out if a polish is what you want is to google swatches 'polish brand + color name + swatch', and see if you can find a swatcher whose skin tone matches yours. Some colors are more flattering on different skin tones, and the way the polish looks in the bottle isn't always how it looks on the nail. They'll also usually tell you how to formula is, how many coats you need, etc.

yep, online swatches are the way to go if you can't see something in person... usually there are enough swatches out there that you can at least feel confident that you'll know what it looks like when you get it.

I have to echo this recommendation! It makes a big difference. I prefer to buy things in person, but googling swatches or even dupes gives me a good idea of what the color is like and whether I want to search for it or forget it. Also, some Macy's carry Butter London.

Knackered is awesome though, especially if you layer it over a blue toned dark or medium grey like Zoya Kelly or Caitlin.

Looks like Sephora has two glassy/crystal type files, big diff in price. Not sure what the actual quality difference is though:

I own 4 or 5 of the $8 Sephora brand ones. I have managed to lose 4 or 5 of the Sephra brand ones.

I really miss it but won't buy another. You can wash them off and then sterilize in the dishwasher. I need to be gentle with my nails and the grit on these is perfect; I really like them.

Before I started losing them, they were very economical too because I went over a year without having o buy nail files.

Oh, whoa. $3. Maybe they are replacing with the fancier one? Stock up! Now I'm tempted. Darn it. But I need to find mine. I only had one in my purse, so what the fizzle did the others go?!

Yeah, that's all I could think regarding the price difference, was they're phasing the one out and bring in the fancy new case ones.

I gave myself a fuchsia & black pedicure. I added some wee lil star confetti my friend put in s a thank you card she sent me but the top coat took of the pink hue - now the stars are silver.

I have the second one. It's ok and I love the idea of glass nail files but in practice I find the grit too soft to be of much use. I tend to just use good disposables (that I hang on to for some time when using them on just myself). I'm really choosy with my nail-type products and used to a low grit. You may love it. For $3 you can probs afford to find out. I like the case for the first one. Maybe that accounts for the price difference?

I was at Lane Bryant last night and noticed they now sell nail polish under the Cacique brand. Maybe this isn't new news? But I also am not finding any info on who private labels this for them or if it's vegan/cruelty free. Anyone know? I'll ask them via twitter but thought I'd ask here as well. Thanks!

stopped in at sally's and just bought my very first orly polish, on clearance. it's called mysterious curse & is apparently a dupe for royal velvet, which they are selling at full price. woo!

those are some great deals if anyone wants those colors! i really wish the carly/zuza/myrta trio was carly/zuza/wednesday instead. i am sooooo the opposite of an orange person. heh. i haven't bought any of the beach/surf colors for myself yet, but i do like zuza, and the carly i bought for my sister's birthday looks *amazing* on her!

I ended up passing on this promo too. I already have the pinterest trio and I still want Carly and Rory but I can wait on those. I'm just about ready to place my first Diamond Cosmetics order and am using $ for that. So excited, I'm getting every dark blue they have.

Speaking of orange...have Myrta on my toes and am doing a mani tonight w/ Spoiled Vitamin C.
