I have a Belden too. This is only my second winter wearing it, but it seems of very good quality to me. No fraying, the lining is still as good as new, no holes in the pockets. The only thing is I seem to have huge problems with the buttons. I assume it's because I'm fairly busty and the cut doesn't really account for that, so the chest buttons are under a lot of stress. I have to sew them back on regularly.

It does look very fancy. As for the sizes, I'm 5'3" and this is how I look in a L.

Oh my gosh you look so cute! I love it with the pink tights. It's such a classic coat...I'm seriously so tempted. I feel like it looks great with tights and jeans.

I am also 5'2" and very small. I have an XS Vaute Couture coat from their first year (so I've had it a few years). It was a bit large in the chest, but I sewed a snap in and that helped. I recall Vaute Couture saying that sizing in subsequent years was a little more true to size (a little smaller than the coats the first year).

Oh my gosh I must own that (belden) coat. Is it really true that some of you guys got the coat 50% off by preordering? Curse myself for not preordering! I can't justify that much! Are these coats that are ACTUALLY well made (it seems like nothing, even the most expensive items are well made anymore!) that will last for YEARS? (I'm talking YEARS)

Also, I'm extremely petite (5"2 and very small) will these fit well or be too long?

I'm 5' 3", and not particularly small, but I'm wearing a small there and I think the fit and length are great. I'm wearing 4.5" heels in the picture, but that doesn't impact where the coat lands!

I think you'd probably be good with an XS, but definitely try it on in the store.

I've been lusting after a Vaute coat for years, so this year I bit the bullet and pre-ordered because it's the only way I can even kind of afford it. It is so beautiful, though, and it seems really well made. I don't yet know how it'll hold up, but we'll see! I'm looking forward to wearing it!

I just met Leanne at the pop up shop in LA and ordered the Emily. So excited. And Leanne is the cutest thing ever!

My ocean Emily arrived yesterday! It's the most beautiful bright blue, and it's so soft and well-made. It's my favorite coat ever.

I'm 5'3" and the length is perfect. I have a first year XS, it is a bit loose on me (I'm thin and not busty) and wouldn't stay buttoned, but I tweaked the buttons to make it work. Now I love it and have had it a few years and it has held up super well.
