What nail polish are you wearing?

I keep my nails at whatever length they allow me, I break them all the forking time! I don't know if i'm just a klutz or what, I never noticed before nail painting because I did keep them short, but it's always the 'bang my finger into the door' shiitake that does me in. So mine are usually medium length or shorter. I wish I could keep up freakishly long Drusilla nails.

I keep mine fairly short most of the time as they start to bug me when they get longer. My polish normally chips after a day (sometimes I'm lucky to get that long).

I'm pretty hard on my nails, but my Gelicure's been on 2 weeks and no chips! I've had to file off a couple of tiny corners where I've been clumsy, so now I have annoying shaped nails, but as they've got quite long I'm gonna file them down tonight when I redo them. But still, no chips and just some minor tip wear!

I just put BL Marrow on as a whim. Every time I change my polish I intend to put La Moss on but then I chicken out... I don't know what's wrong with me! I LOVE dark polish.

last week i was wearing a england ascalon; this week i did a full mani/pedi in zoya petra.

on the length/chipping issue, i always keep my nails super short (because i think dark colors look really nice on short nails and i almost always wear dark colors), and i think that definitely helps my chipping situation... but also, for real, zoya color lock. i cannot stress enough how much this turned my life around. (for instance, i did my mani/pedi on monday, and it is now friday night and i have ZERO chips.)

oh! also, i re-do armor/fast drops every other day (so on day 3, day 5, day 7 if i'm not changing my polish by then).

I have such a love/hate relationship with Butter London's MacBeth. LOVE the color and the shine, IF I can get it to go on evenly, without bubbles, and it always takes at least 2 coats to be acceptable, 3 is better if I have time/patience. It seems like MacBeth is more prone to issues than some of their other colors. But I do love the color. Last breath of color before winter sets in.

I didn't end up getting a manicure after all, and now I have some excema on my knuckle that makes me feel weird about going. If if I do go, still no idea what to pick. I'm thinking short and dark, but not sure what shade. Have been thinking about dark green or navy, but usually go to a vampy standby. It makes me feel boring though. Does anyone else ever feel like they're in a polish rut?

Yes! I bought all these groovy colors and still can't bring myself to try them (army surplus green, copper penny, black micro glitter, etc). Part of me is worried about the metallics looking old lady 80s style and I don't want to appear my age ;-] Like will they be too much like the frosteds of my college years?

I think it's like going to a restaurant; most people tend to stick with what they know they like.

Dior has Cruise Collection colors for sale now. I want the lime green. But, in MAY. Not now. I'm trying to scrape together pennies for a fall color.

So strange! The formula is always perfect for me with MacBeth. It's probably the one I would choose if I could only have one bottle for the rest of time.

I picked My Very First Knockworst from the OPI Germany collection. I love how I pick a boring color then I'm disappointed because it's boring. I really wanted Tickle My France-y, but the salon didn't seem to have it. Also, OPI names make me want to hang my head in shame.

ETA: My toes are Quarter of a Cent-Cherry, a classic red, and I'm super happy with them.

Well, maybe it's my basecoat? What basecoat do you use? I use Orly's rubber thingie. Maybe that's the problem?

It's still my favorite color though. Was the first polish I bought after not painting my nails since 1996 or thereabouts.
