I went ahead and ordered the messager. I'll report back on quality!
They had the studded clutch up on gilt but it sold out! They still have the wallets though.

I bought one of them in the last gilt sale (maybe 3 months ago) and one of the handles has already come about 10% unraveled and is showing its insides to the world. It's very cute otherwise, but I'd buy from a place that has a good return policy on defective goods (eg not gilt) if you want to give them a try!

That's bad news, especially with the price point for some of the bags! Hopefully the quality on the newest line of bags is better!

I do not feel like buying a $100 spiked clutch if it falls to pieces...

People are always saying bad things about the M&N bags as well, but I have several and they've all held up really well. So I'm wondering if it's just that they don't have good quality control rather than that all of the bags are defective or just bad quality. Hopefully I'll be lucky with this one as well. It's disappointing that all the vegan bag companies seem to have an issue with this! I wonder if those really expensive Cornelia Guest ones are worth it.

ha, I've had two matt & natt bag fall apart on me (one, the handle peeled apart, the other, I managed to rub a whole in the fake leather where it touched my back when I carried it). Both in less than a year of use. So, I may just be a purse destroyer compared to most people.
I've been thinking about trying cornelia guest for my next bag.
I can tell you for sure that the $400+ cri de couer bags are not worth the money (I got one for super sale on amazon and used it for about 2 years until the strap broke off, but it looked like crepe after about 8 months).
