I got my ELF order today! Swatchfest starts now. I did open up the white smudge pot to try out because I was actually in the middle of makeuping when it occurred to me to see if it was on the porch, and...god dammit ELF. Can't you just put out a matte white dupe of NYX's milk? It's shimmery white, just like the lustrous eyeshadows, but patchier. I ended up wiping it off of my eyes, i'll try it again as a highlight color.

I would love matte cream shadows/shadow bases.

Looking forward to swatches!

I didn't actually take any photos, i'm on allergy medicine so I wasn't able to muster up that much forethought. But I have opinions!

Blush palette, light: sooooo soft! And i've seen others with more studio blushes than me say that they couldn't find any exact matches. Very pigmented, I ended up giving myself clown cheeks on accident. Don't apply makeup after taking Zyrtec. It should say that on the bottle.

Smudge pots: I just swatched them, besides the white one on my eyes, but I got that, that light pink, the taupe, and the purple. The light pink is like...not there. It's too close to my skin tone to really do anything. The taupe and purple are more pigmented and pretty, I let them dry on my arm for a minute to see if they smudge. The taupe stayed put pretty well but the purple smudged a little. Also they were a bisque to get off.

Studio liquid eyeliner: The brush isn't tapered, it's square. And there was at least one hair sticking out so when I laughingly attempted to wing it, I got a faint extra line. Which resulted in me taking my eye makeup off AGAIN. I might try to trim the brush myself, but I also got the $1 eyeliner in case I hated this one anyway.

Glitter primer: didn't really get to test it since I kept removing stuff from my eyes, but it kind of feels like glue. Very sticky. But no smell.

Studio stick foundation: I dunno. I don't think it has a lot of coverage, it seems thin for a stick. We'll see. At least the lightest shade is light enough for me.

And then the other newish thing I got was this:

http://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/sets ... go_palette

Because I thought it would be nice to have a makeup case small enough for my small purse. The eyshadows are much better than expect, i'm not fond of all of the colors but oh well. The three blushes are nice. The lip glosses aren't very glossy and are kind of sheer, but I wouldn't want super pigmented lip products that i'm probably putting on with my finger in a car. The mascara is okay, not great, but would be nice for touch-ups on top of your other mascaras. My only real complaint is that I think the shitty lip brush is real hair. The tiny blush brush is clearly synthetic, but the lip brush has brown hair. I wasn't expecting that from a studio product.

This Tarte thing just ruined my day. It's the only company that made a BB cream // concealer light enough for my skin that doesn't make me break out.

AHHH

i believe the berry flavor of jolly rancher beans are vegan to, i did not have my glasses at target but the ingredients are the same as the original. i did not pick them up, i still have some original left.

i took the dry shampoo back at ulta, they gave me a free full sized bottle of non-vegan keratin hair stuff, i will be giving that to my mom. i was so tempted to get the butter london glitter trio...i just got some pacifica wipes for the gym & conditioner...

So sad to hear about Tarte!

I got my ELF haul a couple of days ago. I am loving so much of the stuff I got. The new blush palette in Light is great - nice wearable colors. The bright pink looks kind of scary in the pan, but it looks nice and soft once applied. I got the Eye Transformer. I don't know how much it "transforms" other shadows, but I'm in love with the purple one. It's gorgeous! I'm loving the Studio moisturizing lipsticks. They really are moisturizing and creamy, and they last a lot longer than I expected. The standout color I'm crazy about is "Cheeky". "Wink Pink" is nice, too. I definitely got my $1.50 worth on those! My sad disappointment is the BB cream. The lightest shade is a perfect color match for me. I's moisturizing, and has a nice glow, which my dry, crusty skin just adores. I love everything about it except that it smells like my grandmother's purse threw up on my face. An hour after I put it on, I could still taste the perfume in it if I breathe through my mouth. Sigh...

Weird, I don't smell the BB cream at all. I actually really like it a lot.

I smell it too! It's pretty strong. It doesn't bother me once it's on though. But I generally do prefer unscented face products.

It's got a weird baby powder smell to it, which i'm not crazy about but I put up with it because it matches me perfectly.

I went yesterday! They also have SweetTart ones that are vegan.

I convinced myself to by that Christopher Drummond concealer that was mentioned pages back. I haven't been feeling up to putting makeup on lately so I'm hoping something new will get me going again.

Still upset with Tarte. I just don't understand how companies can sell out like that. Well, I do. They don't really care, cruelty-free is just a marketing ploy for their brand. But it still peas me off.

I love their liquid eyeliner. Anyone have a replacement suggestion? I don't like the ELF one.

Chicki, liquid or gel liner? I love makeup geek's gel liner but haven't found a vegan liquid one I like yet.

So I signed up for luvocracy and i'm wasting my Sunday adding stuff...

http://www.luvocracy.com/sendmorecops

They have a referral program where if someone signs up through you and makes a purchase, you get a $10 credit. But that's only if you buy something and they don't generate a referral link for you, so you have to either invite people through facebook (annoying) or email (also annoying), which means either you spam your friends or you ask first and then send them the invite. So if anyone would like to sign up via an invite, let me know. Either way, it seems fun and it's fairly new so there's not a ton of vegan representation!

Pen style, or skinny brush?

Ugh. My thing used to be that lanolin is in everything, but now I feel like it's beeswax! In everything! I'm trying to use more "natural" products, whatever that means, and those kids love their beeswax. I'm having a heck of a time finding an under-eye concealer.

(In case you're curious, I've been moving to some Jane Iredale and Alima Pure. I would love to use RMS beauty, but I feel like every one of their products has beeswax. The un-cover up looks so nice!)

I'm kind of obsessed with Hebivore Botanicals body oil and Soapwalla deo right now.

Anyway else interested in this kind of thing?
