I bought the Baggu backpack listed in the other bag thread because I want something cute and chic for work that is also a backpack (i.e. better for my aching shoulders) and vegan. It seems impossible to find a backpack that is not the 'junior high student reflective zippered waterproof synthetic ugly fabric' style. The Baggu bag, while cute and I love the look (simple, monochrome) is a disaster because of the drawstring--it barely opens enough to get my laptop in and out, and it doesn't hold weight well.

So the search continues. I'm considering this, but it's expensive, and I'm reticent to spend more on something that may not work. I do love the look of it though:

Any ideas for other cute/chic/mod vegan backpacks?

That is a nice bag but yeah pricey.

Have you browsed through ebags to see what they have?

You can select the material on the bottom left.

Oh, I love Moop, but haven't ordered anything from them yet because of the price. But someday, someday, that letter bag will be mine.

Have you checked out Etsy for backpacks? I've seen some cute ones there:

(Although on a couple I can't tell if there is leather... you could Convo the seller to ask.)

I like vintagey outdoor-style things a whole lot, so if you don't like that this isn't going to help, but I like these two from need supply.
