I was just drooling over this! I think 2011 might be my year for a Vaute coat.

I preordered a black Alicia coat. I really need something shorter and more casual than long coats. At 50% off, it's a great deal!!

Ooooh...if I get a job from one of my interviews, I'm totally preordering.

I got the navy Emily coat. I can't afford these full price, but I promised myself I wouldn't spend another winter looking at 100's of coat tags in a department store and leaving frustrated.

I'm not crazy about any of the styles. I liked the pea coat last year and wish I'd had the money then, they have some old ones on sale but not in my size. I'm not wild about the oversized boxy pea this year, so I think I'll pass.

I kind of hoped the Belden would come back in the camel color. I have the El in black from the first year. I love it, but it is a little big on me and they seem to have refined the sizes a bit since then. I'm tempted to get the Belden in black, but my coat is still in great shape, so I shouldn't buy another one right now. I was thinking of getting one for my boyfriend, but the only one I like for him is the Joaquin and I don't care for the epaulets.

I want an Alicia in blue, please.
Now that I have a Vaute and El I can't really justify a 3rd coat for another year or two.

I just bought the Belden in black luxe, and the vegan vulcan is buying the Alica in black. Thanks for starting this thread, celyn!

eeeeeh, I really want the Belden in green or the Hepburn in black velvet, but I don't know! I could probably wear my old Vaute coat a third year.... Is the Belden in green going to be too much green? It looks really cute on the shorter coat (which I like but I'm guessing may not be as warm)

I just ordered the Belden in black luxe. It's still pricey, but I feel better about buying it at 50% off. I couldn't possible justify buying it at full price. Still, I'm hoping my husband doesn't ask me how much it cost.

Fisticuffs, you will finally get to wear your Belden! Dr. Apricot, good luck on your interviews! Thessaly, I don't think it will be too much green at all. I am going to start a PPK count for this season. If anyone is on the fence about colors, etc., I am going to see Leanne over Labor Day and I can take photos of what you're interested in.
Emily (navy) 1 Belden (black) 2 Alicia (black) 1 Alicia (navy) 1 Hepburn (black velvet) 1

Ok, folks. I caved. I tried on my peacoat from year one and it's missing two buttons and it's a bit frumpy looking cause they hadn't figured out the sizing yet and I'm not all about the brass buttons. SO. I figures, I do, let's try this again. I got the Hepburn in black velvet. No buttons means I won't have to cry when my buttons fall off.
It's a lot of money, but I'm spending some time in Sweden this winter I figure I can justify a new warm coat. Now I'm going to stop thinking about how much it cost and be excited instead!

Hmmm, I've wanted one of these coats for years, and thought I might finally buy one this year. I like the Hepburn in black, but I'm not crazy about that asymmetrical zipper. My second choice might be the Belden in black. Wish I could try them on here.

I just pre-ordered the Belden in black. I kind of wanted it in bittersweet, but that color's only available in velvet and I'm not sure how I feel about velvet.
Yay! This is my first fancy coat ever, vegan or otherwise.

I can't figure out the sizing ( http://www.vautecouture.com/t-size_chart_coats.aspx ). How do you measure your shoulder width? Bone to bone going through the nape, right? That would bring my shoulders at 18" (XL), but my waist is 29" (M). Also, I am worried with the fact that hip size is not included since most of these coats button or zip over the hips (and I have an unusually large hip-to-waist ratio, goddess of fertility style). Also, for those of you who bought one in previous years, how well do these sizes factor in how much you bundle up under your coat in winter? I really want to get one (have been eyeing them for years) but given the price I don't want to screw it up.

Oh screw that, I think I'll just get an XL and return it if it's way too big.

I preordered the Belden Black Luxe in L, we'll see how it goes.
The 50% discount is now over, but you can still get 45% off for a week! Edit: Ha, too slow!
