Okay, snazzy dressers!! How do you feel about pattern mixing/clashing? I have two pieces that have a very similar colour but one is leopard and one floral. One day recently I thought how much I'd love to wear them together. Only problem is, apparently pattern mixing is very "in" this season, so I'll probably end up looking like I'm trying too hard. Mostly, I'm just keen on dressing in an odd way. I'm sick of dressing to hide.

I'm not a snazzy dresser, so I probably shouldn't answer, but my rule is: if you love it, wear it. Don't worry about if other people like it or don't, don't worry if you're following a trend unintentionally, or if people will think you're trying too hard - if you think you look good, then you do look good.

I mix patterns all the time. I wear what makes me happy. Just make sure your loved ones aren't jerks who sign you up for "what not to wear" and you're golden.

Speaking of "what not to wear", that show made me really sad sometimes. Some people just had ridiculously awesome over the top personalities/wardrobes and then they take that away-BOO-URNS!

RIGHT? The one episode I ever saw, the girl had this really cool, awesome, artsy style and they made her cry by telling her that her sisters were embarrassed to be seen in public with her. So shitty.
I mix patterns all the time, do whatever you like with your clothes.

I agree. I was looking over old pictures of one of my birthday celebrations and I'm wearing a similar thing - different size spots on top, and a floral skirt underneath with complimentary colours, and I thought "I must dig those clothes out again, that's a fun combination!" (I am not what you'd call snazzy usually, but I did think this looked good).

No, seriously. I went to an 18th century event today and was so tired when I got home that I fell asleep, and by the time I woke up I saw no reason to change. So I didn't.

The hat is new, it's a birthday present and I am inordinately proud of it.

Ooooooh, thanks! You've made my day. See, last time I cut it myself, since I can hardly afford the salon (and it grows so fast!!). Then I spent the last couple of weeks complaining that it doesn't look good anymore and wishing for more time and money to have it cut and dyed and styled. Now I can hold out for a bit longer! :D
