Oh man, those two from ModCloth are AMAZING. I think it would be totally worth it to dress them up a little with fierce accessories and be the most amazing lady there. Those are incredible.

I vote the second (backstage jitters) because I think it'd be easier to get shmancified.

Yes those Modcloth dresses are awesome. The last two David Bridal dresses are cute too, except I don't like satin.

Go with the Backstage Jitters dress! You'll look a billion times classier than all those other ladies.

I would! It actually looks good (well, as good as it can) on my body type. But I didn't go to real prom, I sure as hell don't want to go to AF prom.

What award is he up for?

oh hey dress-lovers. can anyone help me figure out what kind of shoes to wear with this dress? you can't really tell, but the bottom half is kinda poofy, and it comes to just-below-knee length on me. wearing it to a wedding!

I'd go for something black and satiny. Maybe like this?

I agree with black heels for that dress

I got these two

The version I got has red/orange stripes not black and I'm not sure if I should keep or return it

And I want to get this

I think I do too, MT! I thought the white & navy striped one would get too dirty at work so I went with the other one but I can return it & get the other dress instead.

I love it! That color wouldn't work for me, but I think it's an adorable dress.

I think they had in black and camel too. I got it online at Talbot's of all places. That's my secret place to buy clothes because everyone always assumes it's grandmatastic, but they have some really nice classic pieces (and good sales) too!

Yeah, I have gotten some good stuff from Talbots when they've had big sales. I think their sizing is getting better. I'm petite and their petite stuff used to be too wide for me, but the last several things I've gotten have fit well (and I haven't changed sizes).

You guys I am SO MAD.

I bought this dress from Ruche and it just got here today. According to their size chart and all of the other clothes I own, a medium should have fit me just fine. It's more than an inch too large in the bust and waist, and the dress was final sale when I bought it. I was thinking about writing them an email asking if there was a mistake made on their end, but they're completely out of stock in all sizes now. I guess I'm going to have to get it tailored, but I have no idea how much that would set me back. Probably more than I can afford.

ETA: not to be a negative nancy. In the spirit of the thread, this dress is super cute and I love it, I just wish I could wear it!
