I'm surely not the only fashion challenged! I mostly wear black, so putting together outfits is very easy.
I need advice for tomorrow. I have a knee length black denim skirt and a bright blue (sort of a lapis with a hint more green) vee neck tee. Should I wear my white cardi or my black one?
I could wear jeans, but if it's hot, I'd rather wear the skirt. I have a dark blue denim skirt too. Both of m denim skirts are Lauren, if that helps with style; they are work appropriate, so not as casual as most denim skirts.
I'm very happy that I have my week all planned out and that this is currently my biggest problem.

I'm asking because I just bought two tees. $10 each at the Lauren outlet, and I was lacking warmer weather clothes that fit, so now I have some non- black clothes I'm not sure what do to with.

I think the black one? But note that question mark...I can be a bit of a fashion mess at times, but you are going to look good no matter which one you wear, lava!

Yeah, I'd probably go black. But, it depends on your shoes. If you want to wear lighter colored shoes the white cardi could be an option; if you're wearing dark shoes then definitely the black cardi.

Shoes. Pdft. I gave up having nice shoes long ago. All I have are a pair of falling apart pregan black Birks. Hey look really horrible at this point, but I don't know what to do. I can't find vegan shoes that fit and don't make my back problem worse. I absolutely can't compromise on the shoe issue, so I'm stuck wearing shoes that look like total crepe. It is actually really embarrassing.

I only realized how much of my wardrobe is uniform black after I'd dyed my hair black again. Now I desperately need more brightly coloured stuff!

I'd go with black, but I wear mostly black, too. I've been in to adding one POP of color though, especially with an accessory or something. I bought a couple of scarves this weekend that I'm excited to use to dress up black t-shirt and jeans uniform. Cobalt blue (similar to lapis? Maybe?) seems to be really popular right now. I'm thinking of going wild and buying a pair of cobalt blue slacks.
Your shoe situation makes me sad, LW. I can offer no solution though, unfortunately. I've been wearing inserts in my shoes that seem to help (I have flat feet and was having some shin pain). I think that wouldn't be enough given your issues though.

Have you tried some of the vegan birkis or crocs? I know a lot of people swear by crocs. The vegan danskos are another possible option.

They are also making a vegan Sanita clog as well; I'm not sure, but I irrationally prefer Sanita to Dansko.

My immediate thought was that if you wear the white one, you will spill something on it. But maybe you're not like me where one of your daily meals ends up on your chest. I wouldn't say i'm fashionally challenged, but I am lazy so I just have a lot of brightly colored pieces (mostly Old Navy), solid not patterned so I don't have to worry about matching. Can you wear Crocs? As much as I hate to admit it, they have some pretty cute flats and no one would notice that they're Crocs unless they really inspected your feet. http://www.zappos.com/crocs-shoes~o?s=r ... ales/desc/

The Dansko don't fit me--they are either too small or way too big. Flats won't stay on my feet at all. I have really high arches and have given up on flats.
I tired some of those lace up Danskos, but the height and position of the heel aligns with my spine badly. See, this is why I've given up.
I didn't have to solve the cardi problem today. I ended up having horrid abdominal pains and had to call in sick.

Are birkis still available? Mine are falling apart after wearing them almost exclusively for 2 summers.
