Do you just leave it like that forever? Do you throw them out? Do you patch them up?

I've just been leaving it like that for a while now because I figure you can only see when I'm spreading my legs and like 70% of the time I'm wearing underwear so it's not that offensive. But the more I wear them the more the material gets worn down and I'm getting pissed because it seems really dumb to throw out jeans because of one little hole (in the jeans...). They never get holes anywhere else besides the bottoms where they drag along the ground because I'm so short. So attractive.

I've tried sewing them up before but the material is just so flimsy and worn out that it doesn't work, the holes just get bigger so I worry patching it up would have the same effect.

Also, I'm assuming this is a universal problem and I don't have some weird acidy vagina that eats through denim. I don't buy expensive jeans, so if it is a weird acidy vagina maybe it just eats through cheap denim.

Patching it might not work if the material is super worn, but I've done it successfully. I just made the patch bigger. Usually I do just get rid of them though.

P.S. Try some garlic for your weird, acidy vagina.

usually I leave it until someone mentions to me that I look ridiculous or I hang out with someone who has nice jeans on and I feel self conscious about wearing shitty jeans. Patching hasn't really worked for me in the past because it comes off or looks just as bad.

Crotch hole = time to replace

If you are crafty, convert them into a cute mini.

Make the patch bigger and sew it on the inside.

wear them until they fall apart. Or wear your gym shorts over your jeans for a truly fashionable look.

I sew them if the holes are not big, this is mostly for the bf's jeans. I have a pair that has a hole on my inner thigh, I wear them on my "I don't give a crepe" days...I am a rebel though...

iron on patches from the inside. reinforce with zigzag stitching. i've helped many a friend.

Crotch hole == easier scratchin'.

I don't get holes in the crotch of my jeans, therefore, I believe you have some weird acidy vagina that eats through denim. But only you, not anyone else who has holes in the crotch of their jeans. You are special. <3

I patch. It's not pretty, but it helps keep the holes from getting too big and ruining the pants entirely.

Are you going commando a lot of the time? Because even if you did have a weird acidy vagina, I'd think it'd be affecting your pantaloons, too.

I agree with fupapack. I've always used iron-ons and then stitched around them to reinforce the patch. Mine are usually on the butt, though, not the crotch.

Acidy vagina was my good case scenario. Worse case is my thighs are fat and rub together too much. Worst case is I sit indian style too much and will have to stop and be more adult to preserve my jeans.


One time one of my friends convinced another friend that girls have to replace their underwear on a monthly basis because we get holes in them from the "acids of the vagina". He believed it and was horrified. I don't know if she ever told him the truth.

I get holes in the thighs of my jeans, and I usually wear them anyway until my butt or vag is falling out.

I keep wearing them until I go home every few months and make my mum patch them up. Or I just give up on life and buy jeggings.

If jeggings are giving up on life, count me among the lost souls. I forking love those things. I want to replace all my jeans with jeggings. Although it actually seems like they'd get holes more easily, being thinner and all.

I keep a pair of old jeans around solely for the purpose of using scraps to patch up other jeans. That way the patch is pre-broken in and not some crisp new piece of fabric rubbing on my crotch.

Wear your underwear on the outside. PROBLEM SOLVED.

i wear dresses over jeans all winter, because i hate being cold and have no sense of fashion. so when the crotch falls out of a favorite pair of jeans, i just keep wearing them under dresses until the hole spreads all the way around the back of one of the thighs and the leg starts to fall off. at that point i'll stop wearing them in public, but i won't stop wearing them. i love broken clothes. and acidy vaginas.

I get holes in the crotch/thigh area of my jeans too, and I usually bring them in to the tailor to get them patched. I've gotten holes in both cheap jeans ($60 from the Gap) and expensive jeans ($250 designer jeans), so I think it's just the fact that there's so much friction in the crotch/thigh area that creates holes.

I don't own many pairs of nice jeans so I usually take them in to a place in the mall to be patched up. I actually have one pair that I have had patched numerous times, I just can't let them die.

Whenever I have tried patching jeans in the past, it's only delayed their demise by a few months, so now I just continue wearing them with holes. I get thigh holes more than crotch holes. I wear long underwear a lot, so I figure it doesn't matter. Clearly the answer is you should move to a colder climate.
