If I happen to go back soon, I'll look too.

On a side note, I cannot believe how many times today I heard "you should look online, there is a larger selection there". I'm like really, I know most stores don't care about plus size women but you should... I mean I bought shoes in Torrid with no intention of buying shoes because I saw them in person. I prefer online shopping but sometimes it is nice to try things on.

The good thing is I won't have to go back to the store again for a while.

Lard & Taylor was the worst one. Lots of casual clothes or suit jackets, nothing in between.

This is a crappy time to shop: the sales are gone and fall stuff is creeping in.

Is it me or is everything stupendously ugly this season? Walking through Macy's recently was one horrifying garment after another.

Yup, very, very ugly stuff. Although I don't have a lot of high hopes for Macy's because their plus size section tends to be ugly stuff anyway but they do happen to carry petite length of pants in their store, which Lane Bryant told me they no longer do. So to buy pants, I have to order them and hope the petite lengths are truly a petite inseam.

I went to 2 Macy's yesterday and the second one had a larger selection but that is where I bought a new pair of pants.

They had stuff like short sleeved, fringed, orange and brown ponchos.

Now, I'm sure someone can make that work and look cute but probably not too many.

Maybe they're jumping on the Old Navy bandwagon -- all their stuff is either completely generic or completely odd and seemingly purposefully unflattering.

Maybe but all this just solidifies my idea that I should just buy all my clothes through Torrid, except for the rare time I have to go into the office and look like a professional adult.

A couple weeks ago, I got an email from Torrid about a 40% off flash sale so I bought a ton of stuff. Whenever I've been in the store, they really haven't ever had short sizing pants in my size. One sales lady insisted that their regular was equivalent to short but I tried them in the store and nope, way too long. Anyway, I ordered a few pants with short inseam to try and all of them are too long. I'm like really Torrid? I'm 5'7.

So then anyway, a lot of the items aren't quite me but got a couple things I like. And then to top it off, they also sent me someone else's order and they are a size twin, which is crazy. I wear 1-2 sizes smaller in tops than bottoms and whoever's order I got was the same thing, bigger pant size, smaller shirt size. I'm going to the store to return my items so I'll just tell them they sent someone else's order with mine.

Has anyone tried out Melissa Mccarthy's new line? How do the jeans fit? It looks like different stores have different "models" of her jeans.

Oh I wish! The jeans are 32" inseam, no way that will do for me. Maybe in summer when they come out with capris.

That's ridiculous. I'm 5'7, supposedly a bit above average height, and 32" works for me, but sometimes I have to roll a bit with flat shoes.

If companies can make multiple inseams for men, why is it so hard to do for women?

I'm 5'7 too which is funny but I definitely need short. Also, I returned jeans to torrid because the short inseam was too long, which is a bit odd.

That just goes to prove why we need different inseams available. Height isn't the only factor.

I'm 5'0" with proportionately short legs. I hope skinny jeans never go out of style, because they're the only way I don't have draggage. Even with short sizes, I always have draggage on other cuts. Sigh.

I have the opposite problem, I have a 36" inseam so I always have to order "extra long" at places, can't find them in normal stores. forkers.

I saw a pair of Melissa McCarthy skinny 'ankle' jeans on sale so I decided to buy them, a size down based on comments, which was good advice. They are a little long on me but skinny jeans are a bit more forgiving. I'll have to see how I like them when I wear them but they seem ok so far.

Macy's, L&T, Nordstrom. Amazon is supposed to sell them but I didn't see them on their site.

So... I went and did speed shopping last night. I refuse to go to LB because they are now inconvenient plus they never have anything except I'm thinking of wearing a dress.

I mentioned it on FB and in the "Space to post anything" thread but... I'm going to the Star Wars premiere and walking on the red carpet... of course people don't care about ME so I'm not really worried. I could totally wear jeans and a star wars t-shirt, I have plenty. I figure though that this is an opportunity to dress nice. I went to Nordstrom Rack, bought a dress, Ralph Lauren. The problem is they only go up to 22 and I've tried them before and they were way too fitted. It looks nice on me though and what chances do I have to dress up? It is sleeveless so I'll wear a sweater.

I also have a different dress I may go with, skater dress from torrid so I have options :) I'd just need to wear black tights with the other.

I was going to post a link to the cute-ass LBD I now own. I had a party to go to last week in which I was supposed to dress "fancy" and while I have plenty of dresses, none were remotely fancy. I bought a really cute "fit and flare" black dress with mesh and a faux-sweetheart neck from Forever 21+. It also has 3/4 length sleeves!

Anywho, it was kind of a clearance item and it's no longer viewable in the shop. So I'll just post the selfie I took in it. Please ignore my very tired face and awful skin.

I just bought this dress. I got the last XL in stock. My mom is such an enabler. Ideas on how to accessorize? I like the way it's shown, but I'll probably just do my stupid ancient birks. A long necklace might be good.
