Petite bootlegs?! My word might have changed here significantly. Whenever I've found wide leg trousers they've dragged on the ground and looked like I was heading to a rave circa 1996. But petite bootlegs, that makes me curious.

Yes, look at these. Petite Plus Bootcut jeans in a dark wash. They make me excited, all but the price.

I did find a pair of Petite Wide leg denim trousers from the Avenue that I love. But they are still too long for me unless I wear boots with a heel. I need to get them hemmed. They look fabulous, but are black and too dressy for daily wear.

I love Avenue. Whenever I have to visit my in-laws I get a top from Avenue, because they're stylish, and look like they're more expensive than they are. Their pants don't fit me right though, I'm 30 but I have to buy pants that are junior plus because of the apple shape thing. I'm all gut, no butt.

My 40th birthday is coming up in May and my sister is throwing me a party. I'm looking at getting another dress from eshakti because the last one I got was SO comfortable when I wore it out this weekend. Attire will be "dressy casual" (whatever that really means) to cocktail. I'm heavily considering this one because I think I can dress it up or down. Any other suggestions? I'd prefer green, but would be cool with a nice deep purple or a pretty blue. I'd also like it to be worn with a regular bra so I don't have to wear the strapless for dancing.

eta: this is one is "below knee length" instead of knee length like the last one I posted.

@Dearess - we have a winner, that is perfect - I am LOVING the A-Line!

Hey everyone, this is my first post and I'm really glad I found this place (thanks Google!) I've been looking for a place where I can get and give feedback on ideas from other fashion conscious curvy gals. Speaking of which, what do you guys think between these 2? So torn!...

Welcome, Alexa! I like both, but I'm short so I'd pick the first one for myself. If you're taller and comfortable with strapless, I'd go with the second one.

I prefer the 1st one, but I bet it depends on body type. I'm 5'6 and I feel like I can't wear a maxi dress

I absolutely love these pants, but the sizes do run big. My size 15 is more like a 17 at least.

Deeares, I want that green dress! Love the shape, classy but still fun. Also, I totally agree about it not being strapless. If your going to be dancing and enjoying yourself you don't want to be worrying about what the girls are doing! Me and strapless dresses are not friends, but then again I'm a 38G and at my size strapless bras just don't work.

What do you think guys? Just bought two new outfits.
Image
Dress from Macys, shrug and tights from Torrid.

Image
Dress from the Avenue, sweater from Old Navy.

I also finally found jeans at Macys. Style & Co. is the brand I think.

My local Macy's has a terrible plus size section, massive oversized mumu tents and ill fitting sweatsuits everywhere, I should look at some other nearby ones, because what you got is really cute.

My Macys used to be menopause central! But they seem to be getting much better. They have a brand called American Rag, thats what my dress is.

I usually like Macy's too, but definitely look for sales.
Both outfits are so cute!

My Macys seems sad overall. It's in a not very well to do suburb, so maybe that's why. Last time I was there the clothes was worse than what they had at JC Penney.

Cute! I am terrified of skinny jeans. They just make my hips look bigger than life. I love that color though.

This is exactly what I thought too until I tried some on. I've only recently started wearing them. I look terrible in anything other than flared jeans or "skinny" jeans though. It's hard to find clothes when you're bigger in the middle. I think I'm apple shaped.
