The new year means lots of diet pill commercials on tv and it's really bugging me. So, let's talk plus sized fashion and wanting to dress up your already-sexy body!
What is everyone wearing these days?

My wardrobe is so lame these days. Although I did get a cute sweater for Xmas and new bag. This was my first day back to work since December 20th. I am wearing my not so cute jeans, with my old beyond old slip on Lands End shoes that have holes worn in the tops of them, and a basic green shirt from Old Navy. I am in dire need of a haircut, so all in all I'm feeling pretty blah today when it comes to my "Look"!
But, that in no way has anything to do with my size, so that's good!

I've been wearing sweatpants, because I'm home cooking and cleaning. But I start cosmetology school at the end of the month and I have to wear all black and I put together the cutest wardrobe for it, dresses and skirts and tights and leggings and oversized men's sweaters and really cute shorts (sequined ones from Forever 21 and faux leather ones from Torrid) to wear over tights, and a bunch of pairs of cute cheap black boots and mary janes.
I'm going to be adorable. Very soon. But for now I wear sweatpants.

I love shorts over tights! You'll need to post pics!

I will post pics in the future, but not right now. Because I'm wearing sweats and faux uggs as slippers (I call them my fuggs) and I have a slight red mark on my nose from a breathe right strip and the worst bedhead ever, like my pixie cut parts itself in the middle while I sleep and I wake up with 1990s butt cut.
So basically I am way too sexy for the internet to handle.

My pixie cut is long, shaggy, and flat right now! But normally when I wake up it's sticking straight up in the air. I look like dude from Something About Mary when he used his junk for mousse. Yup, that's me!

I'm glad you can understand my pain. Society falsely believes that short haired ladies can just roll out of bed and go, but it is not true. When my hair was long I could just toss that ish in a ponytail and go, with short hair I have to wash and style it every time I want to leave the house unless I want to toss on a hat.

So So True! And when I actually need to wear a hat because it's cold out, I get the worst hat hair. So on those days I don't even bother styling before I leave the house. I just have hat hair all day and look crazy.

What is everyone wearing these days? For work I usually wear a knit top, skirt, and tights. Knee socks over the tights if it is cold. Most of my wardrobe is black, but I add in color with the tights, socks, and scarves. I can only wear my Earth shoes right now because little broken toe says oh hell, no to all my other shoes & boots. My beloved Iron Fist flats are sad and lonely. I hate seeing all the diet commercials on TV, and there are a crapload of them right now. I'm so glad I read Health At Every Size recently, it is helping me not get sucked into the diet mentality.

I've put on some weight over the last couple months, so a lot of my best clothes are too tight. So I've basically been wearing the same pair of jeans and a few t-shirts/sweaters. Or leggings/boots with long shirts/short dresses. I do have one cute red dress I got right before Christmas but that's overkill for my job. Today, I'm wearing brown boots and brown dress pants with a dark tealish blueish sweater and long multi-color scarf.

I too find the diet commercials crazy. I'm back to eating well and exercising, but it's just something I need to do to feel decent again :D

I've put on a pudge over the holiday season too, and my pants are a bit tight. Nothing some greens and getting back into the swing of exercising (after being a slacker about it for the holidays)!

I want these shorts. http://www.forever21.com/Product/Produc ... VariantID=I really love all the fabulously weird and ugly clothes from Forever 21 plus. It makes me wonder if I maybe have no taste.

I think whatever piece of clothing fits your personality and you own it, then you can do no wrong.

Those are really lovely. I'm still completely bewildered that they don't ship internationally.

Nicole, that Bird on a Wire dress is SOOOO cute! I returned something to eShakti and have a credit coming, so I might use it on that. Let me know if you like it when it arrives! (The stripey dress is adorable, too!)

Question, who makes the best, softest, comfiest, most long lasting plus size opaque tights. I'm awful on tights and they run when I so much as look at them, so I'm in need of the world's most badass strong tights. Also, one of the dress photos above is posting massive on my monitor so this text box is three miles wide. Just thought I'd share.
