Hee. Or a rhombus? Ever-so-important update on that front: I stumbled across some description somewhere else, and think I might be an X (low-hip hourglass). And I agree with (or in fact, already adhere to) most of their recommendations, except again with the accursed wrap dresses which they claim are "ideal" for my shape.

Yeah, an exciting new addition to my blog reading! I've been looking back through her posts over the past week or so since this thread started, and her style is very much like what my ideal would be (I'd wear more trousers). Thanks to her, I've begun to salivate over Friends of Couture, particularly the cardigans and knit tops.

i too am plus sized. I wear an 18 american. Its tough finding cute things that fit and I just started venturing into the whole dress thing. I love them, but because I am not used to it, I feel really dressed up, so skirts it is!!! for a while at least

Yes! Kristy's cat cardigan that she wore to Naked was from there, I want ittttt!

Also for Aussie girls wanting jeans, Bettina Liano has a curvy range and they fit SO well. I bought a pair while in Melb. and I love them.

I'm not a big Lane Bryant fan anymore. I don't think their clothes fit the way they used to or maybe I've just decided I want clothes that actually FIT. But I had a few minutes to kill and went in. I think I'm going to go back and get this.

Technically it's a tunic, but I'm only 5'1.5" so it comes just about 2 inches above my knee. I think black tights, black knee high boots and a black shrug will make this a great holiday outfit. What do you think?

I just got this coat in the dark grey yesterday. I'm still hoping to get the stain out of my old coat and I'll return it. Thanks for the shoutout about the Bettina Liano curvy jeans, I might need them! I'm a medium or Aussie 10-12 but jeans completely suck if you have hips and bum.

I love 'plus'-sized fashion blogs as long as their not too into posting weight-loss photos. Like, if you're going from 250 to 200, that's fine, but if it's a blog with an obsession to be 120 or below, I can't read it.

I'm kind of in that weird zone where I'm not quite plus sized so things like Lane Bryant don't work on me but other shops may not quite have my size or I don't like how they fit.

I do like that Lucie Lu site though. I'm wondering how their 1x will fit.

They are one of the best pairs of jeans I've had. I've had regular Bettina Liano jeans too and they have last me 10 years.

Linanil, I love that dress. So sad that I look dreadful in a wrap dress. From the measurements, it seems that the XL at Lucie Lu runs a little small so hopefully it will work for you.

I had to share with you guys. I ordered some jeans online that were onsale, 2 pairs. I can return them to the store and it was free shipping but I wasn't exactly sure on how sizing would be.

I ordered a pair of 16WP (ie petite plus size 16s) and a pair of 16P (ie misses petite 16s). Same brand of pants. The 16P fits really well, maybe even a bit big. The 16WP is too small.

I am having the hardest time finding stuff I like, so I usually wear the same pair of pants (from H&M) and skirts I got in the US. I find shopping for big sizes in Europe even harder than other countries.
I actually cannot wait to go clothes shopping in the US in a few weeks. I usually buy used or go to Target.

I have been considering writing H&M an email asking them if they need a consultant for their Big Is Beautiful line. They seem to just want to put big women into sacks and ill fitting jeans.
