i'm in the market for a winter coat and after sifting through the winter clothes thread, i've settled on the hemp hoodlamb coat (https://hemphoodlambusa.com/catalog/2013-winter). my concern with ordering it online is the sizing.

does it run big? small? narrow hip? straight body?
i want to know everything!

i'm considering both the hoodie and the long coat to get me through the NY winter.

I know calcuhater really likes hers, but I don't know about sizing.

Those look great! I'm curious about sizing as well.

I love mine! I usually buy a medium coat and I got a small, but others here have said the opposite. There's some chitchat about them in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=283&start=150

ETA: Sorry I don't have more details. I'm probably not the best person to ask about sizing since my body is somewhat unusually shaped (scoliosis). I will say it is super warm and soft and comfy! And it has secret inside pockets for, uh, secret things.

I have a long ladies hemp hoodlamb coat and I love, love, love it. It is the kind of coat that you can wear a t-shirt under because it's actually that good at doing its job. In fact, I love it so much that I bought the short version this year. Don't be freaked out by the price because it is worth every dollar and it is something you'll have for years and years.

It is a very fitted coat, so I'd size up if you're not sure.

I am on my 2nd hemp hoodlamb coat!! I had one of the shorter ones first, it lasted me about 4 years until the fabric on the outside started to wear away, especially on the sides by the pockets. I usually wear a small and that jacket was an extra small. I bought one of the longer ones (in blue <3) this past winter in a small so that I could get a little more room out of it and i'm hoping it wont get as much wear and tear as the last. I believe they are kinda small in the shoulders and chest area - my friend bought one and had to size up because she felt restricted in her arms/upper body.

i know roughly the size i want but i'm trying to figure out where to order it from.

amazon vs hempest vs backcountry vs hemp hoodlamb usa

prices vary by a fair amount with hempest being the cheapest but amazon has fast shipping and a relatively pain less return process should i need to.
