Help me, PPK!

I have short-ish hair and need something to spike it up in the back. My haircut looks pretty close to this one (this is not me... I don't have a picture of me at the moment but it'll give you an idea of what length we're working with):

Image

Back in the days before lanolin and glycerin were on my radar, I used Bumble and Bumble SumoTech (http://www.bumbleandbumble.com/product/75/217/Products/Styling/Waxes/sumotech/index.tmpl) or Kevin.Murphy Sticky Business (http://www.kevinmurphy.com.au/products/styling_productdetail.php?id=18 to spike the back. I need a vegan equivalent! The thing is, I need something STICKY. Wax isn't cutting it. Ideally I want something that's gloppier and thicker than a gel and stickier than a wax. But I don't want hair concrete... I want some flexibility.

Can anyone help me? Please? I'm tired of my kick-ass haircut looking sad and limp and floofy!!!

Dirt by Lush may work! Also Paul Mitchel's Glue line.

Giovanni makes styling glue. You can probably find it in the naturally aisle at Target.

Check out Paul Mitchell stuff, the only animal derived ingredients in their products are beeswax, keratin, and I think sometimes honey or lanolin, so it's really easy to check labels to see what is and isn't vegan.
