hello ppkers,
since urban decay sold out to l'oreal, i have stopped using their products. (seriously, all my ud makeup is literally in a bag in my closet). the one product i miss the most is their de-slick in a tube, their oil-absorbing mattifying gel. i have oily-combo skin, with a very oily T-zone, especially my forehead, and the de-slick in a tube worked wonders-- i would use it daily, even on days i didn't wear makeup, so my skin would look normal.

does anyone have any recommendations for a vegan-friendly replacement? i have tried the nyx shine killer, which was just slimy and greasy and made my face look worse. i've been using the mattify ultra powder (link: http://www.mattifycosmetics.com/Mattify ... -Skin.html) which helps, but i think a gel-type product similar to the ud gel would work the best.

thanks in advance for your help!

Why not use the UD you bought? You are not giving them any of your $, the products are vegan and no harm was done...Don't waste!

I recommend Murad's Oil Control Mattifier spf 15 or Anyhony Logestics Instant Fix Oil Control:

Both work wonders!

thanks, missmuffcake, for your product recommendations, i will def. check them out!

i know i shouldn't waste product, but i have massive guilt about using urban decay products now, even though i purchased the products when they were still independently owned, and of course the products i purchased are vegan. i know it sounds silly, but i feel almost like i am being a bad vegan by using them. i don't know, i tend to judge myself pretty harshly.

It does seem a little you're being a little harsh on yourself. I have a lot of UD & I certainly won't be buying it again but I'm definitely going to finish the stuff I have.

I can be that way too, but this is an instance in which you should feel 0 guilt!

You are being too harsh. I'll use my UD eyeshadows until I'm scraping up the last hints of colored dust like a unicorn going after sparkly cocaine. I understand where you're coming from, but no need to waste stuff, especially when you don't have a replacement.
