My friend is elbow deep into homemade deodorant recipes. I'd like to make some with her, but without beeswax. What product should I use to sub for beeswax? My understanding is that it makes the end product more solid. Thanks :D

I make a great deodorant out of shea butter, cocoa butter, baking soda and cornstarch. I've used this recipe for years and it's really fantastic (I don't even bother adding any essential oils):

The cocoa butter (and shea butter to a slightly lesser extent) makes the end product very solid- especially in cold weather when your house is cool. In warm weather it will still be solid but softer/more easily spread.
