Ooh, bluedawg just sent me a bottle of Zoya Dove, so I actually have a grey to use for this challenge! It's nail polish fate.

Grey you say? What a nice coincidence, I happen to have grey that I did over the weekend.

I forget the exact colors, but they are both china glaze. The purple is really pretty all by itself too. Used my new striping tape for this, with a reverse accent nail. They are not perfect, but I am still getting used to tape...you have to remove it at just the right time....

Sorry for the terrible cell phone picture

I got some striping tape a few months ago and still haven't used it. I may try something like that, though - I really like it!

I love my new striping tape. I actually experimented with it, and did each nail a different color on Saturday. It looked a little cray, but it was fun. I should have kept it!

Now there are little bits of tape with dried polish all over my couch and Snuggie. Yes, it's Tuesday. Don't judge me!

I tried taping once and it didn't turn out well, I did use regular tape and I think maybe I let it sit too long. I should try it again.

That looks great Chicki. I love striping tape. It's really cool to jazz up a French mani. I'll have to take a photo of my French wheel with the taped ones.

The first tutorial that I found said to let the top coat dry, THEN take off the tape. It ended up pulling off all the polish. In short, it was an awful tutorial. Everyone says to take it off almost immediately after putting the top color on, and they were right! But...you have to wait like about 30 seconds or so, or if it is too wet, it will drip.

Regular tape works well too, for blocking or half color nails, or tips!

Hope there's room for another in the challenge! I wonder how far my limited polish collection will go in the challenge, but I love an excuse to buy more. My polish is chipping and needs to be redone, so I'll go with grey tonight!

Petra!

I love how it can be gray and purple and taupe and xyz all at the same time. One of my favorites!

Petra was the first bottle the PPK tricked me into buying.

I went with Faint of Heart, which is the only color in my set of ORLY minis that already existed in a collection. The thing is, the color looks a lot different than the big bottle swatches so i'm not sure it's exactly the same shade of gray. I'm on day three and it's holding up perfectly, but i'm going to the grocery store later so i'm sure that's about to go down the toilet.

Chanel Haut Chocolat. Messy though! I hope the messy bits rub off when I wash my hair in the morning. I'm out of remover.

Well, I live in the Emerald City, in the Evergreen State. Of course we have deciduous trees and, in fact, the fall color is really great this year because of how much sun we got this summer. But I had to include green. This is Zoya Hunter, Zoya Pepper and Zoya Thandie layered over Pepper.

Okay, it's Goth As fork week, and I was thinking that we would take December totally off for two reasons: either you celebrate winter holidays and will probably already be basing your nail color around that, or you don't and wouldn't have any interest in doing holiday nails. Also that way when we come back in January we'll all be ready to try all of the holiday sale polishes we've hoarded!

Yay, my favorite. Chanel Taboo it is! Can't beat dark, glittery purple.

And I found a swatch much more suited to the ppk than my Molly swatches: http://www.makeupandbeautyblog.com/wp-c ... atch-3.jpg

I love goth week!

I went with Zoya Raven to match my dark, dark soul... but I want to wear black polish all the time.

When it's time to switch I'll probably go for BL Branwen's Feather.

i'm kind of cheating. this probably doesn't really count as autumn leaves and it probably doesn't really count as goth, either, but it maybe splits the difference between the two? heh. this is zoya toni, a vampy dark purple/burgundy.
