Yup. Those should be vegan. I use a brown (taupe?) for my brows now. Not my favourite, but it works well enough for now. Doesn't work as an eyeliner, though.

The WnW pencils have beeswax. Because WnW apparently thinks beeswax is vegan.

Gah. I know they were on the vegan list when I bought it! And it isn't synthetic beeswax? No great loss, but still annoying.

Okay WnW - you suck. I have not bought a black pencil in 20 years (since my chola junior high days when I used it for my lips!) but thinking it was on the list, I thought to post it. Currently I use the ELF $1 pencil in coffee (dark brown) for my brows, I draw them completely on. I am sure they make a black. It has the right brow consistency for drawing on brows & worth a shot!

WnW lists products that contain beeswax and/or lanolin on their "vegan" list. I refer to the list this vegan beauty blogger made when shopping for WnW: http://makeupfu.madtofu.com/2013/08/wet ... egan-list/

Plus you should all go read her blog anyway because it's about vegan beauty and I think it's quite well done.

Ohh crepe - the cover stick by WnW has lanolin? I have been using it since it was posted on the forum. Off to buy a new concealer!

I tried the Tarte 12 hour foundation, I do not really think it's for me. I will try it again today...So far my fave foundation is like 1 part Lush color to 2 parts Tarte BB cream...

So I just found out Blinc is selling in China, which means I need a new smudge proof mascara for my lower lashes. Does the ELF Studio waterproof mascara hold up well without flaking or smudging?

ELF watch: BB cream still not arrived!
Three times now I have to customer service complaining, and asking specifically FOR A REFUND AND NOT ANOTHER PRODUCT, I get a cheery little happy elf message saying they have already shipped yet another one to me. According to ELF land I have like half a dozen BB creams orbiting my mother's house in some kind of Fedex time warp.
When I get done with this project I will have to call them. Based on MBM's experience, it should be a grand old time.

has anyone else tried HAUT cosmetics?

http://hautcosmetics.ca

i got a sample of their bb cream (which they sing the high praises of on their site--it's not a bb cream, it's a treatment! etc) in a vegan presence box recently, and i finally got around to trying it. my usual foundation is FACE atelier (liquid), so i'm not really comparing apples to apples here, but i think i really like it! i've worn it two days so far and i'm going to give it a go again tomorrow, but the coverage is nice and it feels good on my skin. the sample i got is almond, which is the perfect match for my skin.

i'd love to hear if anyone else has tried their stuff (bb cream or otherwise) and see what you think.

Inspired by this thread and the WnW list posted above, I decided to stop at Rite Aid on the way home from my doctor's appointment because I wanted to see if they had a larger selection of cosmetics than the CVS I'm used to. I got the Ultimate Match foundation, so now I'm still sick, but I have fun new makeup to try.

Does anyone have a good list of which Physician's Formula products are vegan? It always seemed like none or very few of their were actually vegan since they stick beeswax in everything, so I never bothered, but they have a tinted moisturizer that kind of interested me, and it didn't appear to have beeswax.

Ooh, fancy! Now I want to try it, too, but I probably never will, because it's so expensive.

One of the vegan or CF beauty blogs had a list of which Physicians Formula products are vegan, but it was a few years old so newer stuff wouldn't be on there, and I can't remember what blog it was so you'd have to google. Vegan Beauty Review, maybe? It's how I found the powder I'm using from them.

ETA, when I emailed them about the bristles on the brushes that come with their powders and blushes it took like a week or two to hear back, but when I did they were really helpful, so if you can't find a list maybe try emailing them about the specific product(s) you're interested in.

This is the list I have bookmarked for PF. It's from 2011 though.

Does anyone have any recommendations for under eye concealer that doesn't crease like a mofo? I have a lot of fine lines and crow's feet so I know it's going to settle in there eventually but the only one I've ever tried that doesn't crease like crepe before I've even finished my makeup is MAC's Pro Longwear. I still have half a tube of it from before the whole china thing and I use it on nights out etc but I'd really like to find a cruelty free one before this one runs out.

I've tried a couple of different ones, eg OCC Conceal, which is way too creamy. It has creased before I've even put my mascara on!

ETA I hear good things about tarte's concealer, anyone tried it? We should be getting tarte over here, via QVC, this year.

Also, I bought the ELF HD under-eye setting powder after seeing a couple of youtubers rave about it and it's really glittery!! It's weird. It does look pretty nice on but I don't really like having a shimmery under-eye, even though you can't tell that unless you look really closely. Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone else was thinking of buying it and doesn't like a shimmery face.

Baps, I have Tarte's concealer and I like it, but I don't use it under my eyes so I can't really comment on that... it's not super creamy so it might work? In the past I've always had similar issues with concealers sinking into fine lines under my eyes so I usually just stick with foundation.

I have the Tarte one and it definitely accentuates my undereye fine lines. It just makes the whole area look SO DRY. I have come to the realization that my skin looks so much better with just a lightly tinted moisturizer on than any kind of foundation (at least any I've tried so far).

Yeah, this is the one where I learned that the eyeliners are safe. Tashina from Logial Harmony likes the BB concealer (I don't think the actual cream is vegan), and other than the powder the Jessi mentioned I don't know about much else. The good news is that since that list was put up, PF has added all ingredients to their website:

https://www.physiciansformula.com

So if you're interested in something and nothing stands out right away (that new CC cream has beeswax), you can just plug the ingredients into google.

Thanks guys. A foundation is generally not enough to cover my undereye circles and I dont like a heavy coverage all over my face either cause I'm quite dry. I'll try the tarte one when it comes here and until then, keep looking!

Oh poo just reread this, I'm pretty dry there too so maybe this one wont work.

i use the e.l.f. studio Flawless Finish foundation as my undereye concealer. it isn't 100% perfect coverage, but i've given up hoping that anything will hide my undereye circles completely. they're really dark and more reddish than blue/purple, so i have a hard time finding products that neutralize them. yellow-tinged products designed for dark circles just make mine look sort of weird and brown. i don't usually wear any foundation on the rest of my face, so the e.l.f. foundation at least blends my undereye area in with the rest of my skin, and it doesn't crease or cake. the e.l.f. studio liquid concealer had a good consistency for that area, too, but it wasn't as good a match for me colorwise. i've never used the e.l.f. setting powder designed specifically for the eye area, but the regular setting powder isn't shimmery at all, and i like it a lot.

I've been using the OCC Conceal under my eyes and at first I had the problem with it really accentuating any fine lines and just generally looking dry and cakey and not nice at all, but since I started applying it suuuuuper lightly with the ELF Studio small stippling brush just barely tapped into the pot it hasn't been that bad. I'm still questing for something better for undereye circles, but until then it works-ish. Just a suggestion if you run out of the MAC stuff before you find something you like since you have the OCC Conceal already.
