I went ahead and bought a huge amount of ELF stuff back a while back when they had a 50% off sale. it took forever to get to me, but some new stuff I really like.

The BB cream is pretty cool. I have never used BB cream before, and I like it for heavy coverage under my makeup. I actually have a black eye right now from falling/running into something and it is awesome for covering it up haha. BB cream is also nice on the weekends instead of powder/foundation. Or UNDER makeup for special occasions. Wore it to a party (moisturizer, primer, BB, powder foundation, bronzer, finishing dust) and I got a LOT of compliments on my makeup. and that shiitake stayed on all night!

The regular primer is AWESOME. what was it, $3? it is better than some I have bought for $30.

Lip liner sucked. So did the lipstick. Mainly the color. Oh well.

Stocked up on the makeup wipes, eye primer (which I use as a concealer) cream eye shadows (which I use as a eyelid primer) and some other stuff. I should have gotten more cuticle pens. Those things rock!

I mostly love ELF. they have some fantastic products at great prices. Some are just meh for me. But since they cost $1-3, I have no problem trying them out.

I was looking at Inglot nail polish today. I looked them up online and what I read said they had vegan products and didn't test. Does anyone know if that's still the case (the animal testing part especially).

I wondered about Inglot too, because I see lots of people call it CF but Logical Harmony has it in the 'do not buy' list, and here's why:

"Inglot said that they do not check to see if their suppliers test on animals or not. This is a basic certification that myself, PETA and Leaping Bunny all require to count a brand as cruelty-free or vegan. When I last spoke to them they said that they would check with their suppliers. It’s been several weeks and they are no longer responding to my outreach, nor have I received any updates."

Oh, so if you go to Target you might seen in the dollar bins that they have mini bottles of Yes To Carrots shampoos and conditioners that come with coupons attached for full sized bottles - I read the ingredients and those are one of those things that have honey in them. God dammit.

I have some vague notion that I read recently that inglot is selling in china. I could be making that up though.

Almost all of Yes to Carrots has honey. So sad. I accidentally bought some of their stuff and loved it too.

But: Yes to Blueberries does NOT and they are having a big sale at Ulta (or were a few days ago). I really like the nighttime age defying night cream so far. And it smells good. They have wipes too.

Yes to carrots got me on the honey thing. I bought travel sizes and they did not have honey listed, then when I bought full size, I realized months later that it had honey. I might have to try those blueberry wipes.

I need to pick up a new night cream - I might pop into Ulta this weekend and check out the Yes to Blueberries one. I need a new day cream too, but theirs doesn't have SPF in it and I'd really prefer one that does. Any recommendations?

I use the alba 'even advance' moisturizer for day time - it's got spf 15 and isn't a pain to rub in. It's on the expensive side but is the only vegan face lotion I can buy at my local drugstore, so I deal.

I like Alba too, I use the acne wash and the coconut wash. I haven't tried their moisturizer with SPF, but I would give it a try based on the other products.

Their regular face sunscreen is really nice. Light, not greasy

I ended up getting the Yes to Blueberries night cream and a Derma E day cream with SPF 15. I originally got both the Yes to Blueberries night and day creams (there is one with SPF 30!), but the day cream was a) expired (yuck, Ulta) and b) a little too thick and heavily scented for my taste. Yes to and Derma E stuff is all on sale at Ulta right now so that worked out well.

I also picked up a new Real Techniques brush - it's a silicone eyeliner brush. It's really interesting and I'm pretty excited to see if maybe I can actually do some sort of winged eyeliner with it. (I am really abysmally terrible at putting on eyeliner.)

I went to Sephora yesterday and got the Hourglass foundation. I love it! I also got the Teddy Bear brush set from Too Faced and a new tube of Better than Sex. I have gotten compliments on looking good today so they must be working!

I was going to make my next mascara Better Than Sex, but because our pipes exploded and I still have a $25 certificate for Manic Panic burning a hole in my pocket, I think i'm just going to get a tube of that. I got that three pack of Lights, Camera, Lashes in the summer and gave one away to my sister-in-law, and I swear my second tube is drying out a lot faster than the first.

Is Mua eyeshadow all vegan or just some palettes? I have my eye on the pretty pastels and the poptastic ones.

I have glitterball palette and that looks vegan and so do all the singles and the trio I have. If they have the 2 you're interested in in my local superdrug tomorrow I can check them for you?

Does anyone have any recommendations for a super-pale foundation?

If you're looking for something super cheap, Wet n Wild's coverall cream is vegan and the lightest shade (815 fair) is pretty damn pale.

They label which of their products are vegan at Sephora. I just got the Immaculate foundation and I love it.

Illamasqua skin base goes really light and theres a white too if you need to lighten it further. For superdrug etc foundations.. gosh go pretty light.
