Cream is definitely easier but it's annoying to have to totally wash a brush every single day, and I can never get a fine enough point with a brush.

And that right there is why I'm so into this silicone eyeliner brush.

Any tips on how to curl your lashes with eyeliner already on? Mine always smudges off on my eyelash curler. I use pencil and cream liner. I try setting it with shadow and it still transfers. I have a hard time lining close to my lash line after I've curled my lashes. I feel incompetent!

speaking of good eyeliner brushes (and Tarte), I use this eyeliner for my lid and waterline and smudged under my lower lashes:

http://tartecosmetics.com/tarte-item-Am ... w-eyeliner

It comes with a brush that I think is darn good. I always wing my liner and this brush works great. Also does my waterline without a problem. This is the best-for-me eyeliner I've ever used. It actually stays put!

I caved and mail ordered three Neve eyeshadow palettes from Cocktail Cosmetics in the UK, and holy crepe they are so nice! I got Elegantissimi, Intensissimi, and Makeup Forever.

The pans are huge, and the colors are really rich and soft, and the color payoff is really, really good. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I love palettes, but it seems like everyone has to throw in at least one color that contains carmine so these make me super happy.

ahh, jealous! I think I'm going to cave too and get at least one palette soon, as well as the eyeshadow base/mixing medium. Just waiting to get paid.

Yay glad you like. The one with all the bright colours is on my list for when I get some cash.

can anyone recommend a copper eyeliner pencil? i've seen the elf copper/bronze cream shadow and liner, and i'll probably try one or both of those, but i'm still pretty clumsy with a liner brush, and it would be nice to have something i could wield with a little more skill. i don't want to buy from urban decay, but i wish i did, because their 24/7 pencils seem so nice. jerks.

This one is more gold-y as opposed to coppery, but if you're near an Ulta or Sephora you could swatch it.

http://tartecosmetics.com/tarte-item-sk ... roof-liner

It's a soft pencil that smudges nicely when first applied then sets, so easy for use all over the lid.

ooh, the bronze shade of that tarte liner looks really nice. it seems like almost all of the colors are out of stock right now at sephora, but maybe they'll have it the next time i'm near there.

Barry M has a bronze liner pencil - it's pretty soft and nice. I got mine via ASOS.

I got my MUA palettes ( only took a month) and I am a bit disappointed. They are not soft and buttery, as I had hoped. I like the Elf prism much, much better, and my Pacifica palettes. But I will use them, they are just maybe too subtle and matte for my taste. Good for work and everyday wear, just not as soft as I had hoped, bit more on the chalky side.

La vie sale, I like them, but I agree they're not what I'd call buttery soft. I don't find them chalky, though.

Nyx's slide on pencils seem to be a good dupe of the 24/7 liners. However, nyx suck and won't tell which shades have carmine!

Re the liner brush thing, something like the E17 waterline brush from Sigma is brilliant for the waterline and it makes it sooo easy. I can't see on the website though what it's made of but a small angle brush would also work.

I normally use it with powder to set whatever I've put on my waterline, because it makes it last longer. But if I don't have the colour pencil I want for my waterline, I use a white or flesh coloured pencil, then this brush to set it with shadow and get the colour I want.

Update from Tarte re: the BB primer and the cheek stains - the bb primer is vegan now, but the cheek stains contain carmine. They said they've moved them off of their vegan page. Not sure why they were there in the first place. Stupid.

Yesterday, the coupon gods aligned at CVS so I got another bottle of ORLY bonder (which I always get at CVS now to help meet the coupon spending requirement), one of the new WnW five pan palettes (I got the pink and purple one because, junior high) and since I lost that liquid eyeliner i've been practicing with, their liquid eyeliner. But it has a hard brush so now i'm totally thrown for a loop and have to start my practicing all over! It is easier to wing with, though.

Makeup! I'm taking a quick break from training to post about the MUA Undressed Too pallette. I really like it, but I guess I wasn't expecting it to be 'buttery?' Three of the colors look like dupes for Wet 'N' Wild Walking on Eggshells though (which I also bought recently because it was at my CVS and they usually never have WnW (it was just a cardboard display, so I didn't even hesitate to snatch it before it's gone).

I'm excited about the Tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12-Hr primer (that's what you mean, right amandabear?) being vegan. I tried a little on my hand at Sephora last time, and it was almost like whipped our mousse like. I'm using the Too Faced BB Cream now and I like it, but it's not my favorite. (Damn you Boscia! Damn you China!)

Did you all see that the Inner Rim liner is on Tarte's vegan page now, too? I think they need to update the copy because it says it's powered by beeswax, but beeswax isn't listed as an ingredient. http://tartecosmetics.com/tarte-item-inner-rim-brightener It also doesn't have the vegan icon on the page yet. Oh Tarte. I wish I knew how to quit you.

Sorry for all the parentheticals and being MIA.

I think all of the Tarte packaging says that, either my trio of LCL mascara or the eyeliner I bought for them said the same thing on the outside and I freaked out when I got them.

Hi ndpittman! Yep, that's the bb primer! I'm actually excited about it too, since I bought it thinking it was vegan, then returned it when they told me it wasn't. I never got to use it properly, but I tried it out at Sephora and liked it a lot.

Wet n Wild Walking on Eggshells is one of my absolute favorites. The quality of those trios is so good and the colors in that palette are ones I use constantly. I wish the new 5 pan palettes were the same quality... sadly they are not even close.
