Zelavie, check out Wet 'n Wild coveral foundation. I have various foundations from expensive brands to drugstore and this one is one of my favorite!

Yeah I wish all companies would do this on their websites too. Would make it so much easier.

I just bought the mascara, a gold eye pencil (cuz screw you NYX!) and a lipgloss. I have a couple of their products already but I haven't bought from them in ages (except the CC Cream which I bought because the ingredients on the tube looked ok) because that list was so out of date.

On the subject of makeup removal, I really like Fresh's Soy Face Cleanser. It is very gentle and it painlessly removes my eye makeup. I also use it to clean my makeup brushes, which may be a weird thing to do but my eyes haven't fallen out yet. The ingredients look vegan but I've had a really hard time confirming if Fresh is vegan or if they are sold in China. Maybe someone else here can confirm?

eta: Ugh, their FAQ must have been recently amended, did not see this before. "WHAT IS FRESH'S POSITION ON ANIMAL TESTING? We do not test our products on animals nor do we permit others to do so except where it is required by law. " Boo.

This is what I've been using the past few days and so far I really like it. I got mine at Rite Aid when they were having a 40% off sale, and it was already super cheap anyway. Plus they have a pretty good range of shades. It's a nice medium coverage, I'd say, which is good for me, but it you want lighter coverage, their Ultimate Match foundation is also good. I'd say it's closer to a tinted moisturizer than a foundation.

Lately almost all of my makeup is either ELF or Wet and Wild (plus a few indie companies here and there), because I'm cheap, but they both make some really good quality products for the price.

Let us know what you think of the mascara! I really need to buy some mascara.

Thanks - I picked that up a couple days ago! It covers about the same as the one I've been using, but does seem to wear away fairly quickly (a seemingly universal problem for me). It's not perfect, but will definitely fit the bill until I find one that's better long-term!

I decided to start reading through this thread starting from the beginning, and in the last 4 or 5 days, I've probably spent more on makeup than I did all last year. The PPKers are my enablers. First nail polish, now makeup. You guys.

The only ones I've tried (a while back) made me break out. My skin doesn't like having much stuff on it. It's worth another shot, though, since it's been 5+ years.

I made a tinted lip balm with lip tars tonight! It was super easy and now I want to make a bunch more. I have a bunch of lip tars and I love the colors, but they're so drying that I rarely find myself reaching for them. I also have a stockpile of lip balms that it will take me years to go through. Win/win!

I got the gosh cc cream and I love it so far (having worn it for one day). It's really natural looking but covers up all my broken blood vessels. It's so much easier to apply (more liquid-y) that the too faced bb cream I've been using (which I also like, but don't use consistently because I find that it takes more rubbing in than I'm willing to do some mornings).

Ok, I've just told the ppk how painfully lazy I am.

I love the gosh cc cream too. The finish is lovely.

Also I love the velvet touch eyeliner I bought so much that I bought 2 more today.

baps - did you cave and buy the hydra veil? I tried out a sample last night and was simultaneously really into it (so cool, such a great finish) and a little grossed out by the slimy feeling. But I could really use a moisturizing primer as I wind up too dry by the end of the day even if I moisturize well in the morning. Is there something else you'd recommend that's not so expensive?

I've had Hydra veil for ages in my pro kit for brides etc as the skin base foundation can be drying. But when I need it for me I use it. It's really lovely but yeah it has a weird texture.

Maybe look at your skincare if you're getting dry, as a primer might not fix that.

The only other primer I've ever really liked is the bourjois happy light one for dry skin. But I now know they're owned by a company that tests so I don't like to recommend it!

Thanks baps! I'm super dry, so I moisturize like crazy (jojoba oil after I shower at night, really rich face cream in the morning), but I could still use a little more long-term moisture under my makeup, so I was hoping the hydra veil would help there.

It could help. Sometimes if I'm feeling really dry I put my foundation straight ont he brush and spray it with a couple of sprays of rosewater (or toner) first. (Or if you're a fingers to apply person, just spray it on your face).

Also, I've found changing my cleanser to a cleansing balm and using a hot cloth to remove it definitely helps my skin. Less dry patches develop over the day. The muslin cloth helps exfoliate a bit too.

Just wanted to pop in and say that I just bought and love the e.l.f. mineral infused mascara. It's the only mascara I've found to go on really smoothly and not clump my eyelashes together. It just looks like I have lovely full lashes! And, for $3, it's a score.

Baps, I also bought the gold liner. I couldn't read that Gosh list at all on my phone which sucks because that means I can't check a product online. I mentioned that the print was tiny on mobile devices and asked if they also had a list on their website but never got a reply.

I was gonna type it out and put it on my blog under the pics of the list I posted. Will try and get round to it this week!

I've been meaning to ask-my hands shake as a side effect of medication. Any ideas on stabilizing my arm? Eyeliner is the hardest part. I've been skipping it a lot because it's gotten so difficult to not poke my eye out.

do you have a vanity? a desk with a place to stick a mirror? you could prop your elbow onto the desk top to give you some balance.
