You could try dabbing that 90s peach rave gloss in the center of your lower lip before putting something else fairly sheer on top. It might add some subtle metallic shimmer.

When I put it on, my first thought was that since I now have kind-of Betty bangs and no eyebrows, all I need to complete the look is to draw on some electric blue super high eyebrows, get what is almost exactly my freshman year homecoming dance dress:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/130292656/ ... ilver-gray

and some platform knee high boots and I am set for a 90's throwback party!

Has anyone tried the Lush mascara?

i did not care for the lush mascara....it was too natural and not enough staying power.

I also did not like the Lush mascara. It was too natural.

Thanks, mmc and blondiefk--I will save my $19! I'm always so hopeful of finding a mascara branded as 'natural' that doesn't actually look natural. Meh. <Shakes fist at Tarte>

I ordered Barry M lash vegas mascara. Been using my WnW mascara for 6 months now, time to switch. I haven't been putting any on on my weekends, just for work, and it's so nice to not wake up as a raccoon.

Which lash vegas did you get? My favourite is the pink tube (the one with fibres).

Anyone have recs for a good concealer? I need one for undereyes and that can be dabbed on pimples. I like the liquid kind that dries and really latches onto your skin without budging all day. And that doesn't crease under my eyes!

I used to use Origins, but they eliminated their lightest shade (in addition to China/testing/whatever their problem is, I can't remember), so screw them. That one was perfect though, and I haven't found a replacement.

The new Milani gel-powder eyeshadows look really nice, but of course say "may contain carmine" in the ingredients list. So I contacted them as to which shades actually do contain carmine, and here is their response:

"Hi Jennifer, the following Bella Eyeshadows contain carmine. An easy way to determine this would be any colors containing red, seeing as carmine is a component used in red dye. Thank you!

Bella Pink-13
Bella Purple-15
Bella Rogue-19
Bella Fuschia-26
Bella Rose-29

-Alexis"

Here is a link if you want to see the available shades: http://milanicosmetics.com/p-191-bella-eyes.aspx I have yet to spot them at my local CVS but they are available for purchase from the Milani website.

I recently picked up Josie Maran's Creamy Concealer Crayon: http://www.sephora.com/argan-creamy-con ... Id=1537117

I've only been using it for a few days but so far I like it a lot! I was replacing a Tarte concealer stick that I could not rebuy because Tarte sucks, grrr, China/testing.

What do you mean by too natural? I've been looking for something that will just darken my lashes and maybe this is what I've been looking for?

Probably! Natural mascaras tend to just color the lashes and not to much for volume or length.

Yes, it doesn't give length or volume.

pacifica is a good one if you like a natural look. glam natural's is also nice.

the LUSH one was okay, but the super-short brush annoyed me, and i dropped the glass bottle once and chipped it. :|

it just kinda gave a shiny look to my lashes without doing anything else. i did not like the brush design either.

Thanks for the concealer recs! Josie Maran, Cover FX, and I may try OCC too. Fingers crossed! I think I need two colors- one to match my face (always the lightest shade), and a slightly darker one for my undereye circles, to avoid that reverse-raccoon, white around the eyes look. I wish some company made a two-shade compact.

Target has 10% off all makeup and nail polish on cartwheel:

http://cartwheel.target.com/o/all-makeu ... /-/MTI2MTA

Unfortunately, there are no corresponding coupons that are CF, but 10% is better than a kick in the face.

My limnit lipsticks came in the post! I've got the teal one on right now (A League of My Own) and it feels really nice - very creamy, like amandabear said. I'm yet to see what it wears like, but I'm super-happy with the colour. I posted a pic in the today's makeup thread. I'll let you know how the others go when I try them!

I want to try the coconut wipes, because i've finally almost depleted my wipe hoard and those are face and body so I bet they're nice for after the gym and stuff.

Also if anyone is curious about my eyebrow regrowth, they're at the point where they look filled in instead of painted on, so that's good because the ELF eyebrow wax isn't meant to draw on eyebrows so it looked really weird. If you're really close to me you can tell I have eyebrows, but more than a few feet and it looks like I just have the hairs on the inner corners. Last night after the gym, I didn't want to put on makeup at all let alone draw them back in, so I just walked the dogs looking like an albino creep.
