Anyone have any good recs for mattifying makeup setting spray? First I was using Urban Decay De-Slick spray, then when they got bought out I switched to the NYX spray, and now, well, I'm on the hunt again. I've tried the e.l.f. spray and didn't like it very much.

What are people's favourite eyeshadow primers? If they're available online and ship to Australia then that's ideal for me! I know there's the fyrinnae one, but are there others that you like?
Alternately, do folks just use liquid foundation as/instead of primer? I don't use foundation so I have no idea how it works (I'm thinking about getting a very lightweight sorta mineral powder foundation at some point to dabble in, but I'm kinda scared of the liquid stuff. Plus irrationally worried about finding the right colour for me, even though I am light-skinned and thus very well catered for by makeup companies).

I have super oily eyelids and the Fergie Wet'n'Wild primer works great on me. I couldn't get it in Canada without paying exorbitant online shipping fees so I had someone mail me 6 tubes of the stuff from the U.S. I don't know what I'll do when that runs out.

The Wet 'n Wild Take on the Day eyeshadow primer is my favorite (http://wnwbeauty.com/tmp/product2.php?c ... 3&subid=37) but I am not sure it's available in Australia. I also like the e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Primer. I am very fair-skinned and have somewhat oily eyelids.

the fergie primer is the best. if anyone wants some out of state & will pay for shipping cost - i do not mind picking it up at target or walgreens.

I will fourth the Fergie primer if you have oily eyelids. I found it on this site:

http://www.crushcosmetics.com.au/eyes/e ... day-primer

That's more than it is here but i've heard that all cosmetics in Australia are pretty pricey. BUT a little goes a long way so one tube will last you quite awhile. Alternately, you could set up a package swap with someone from the US and ask them to include a tube.

Or look into shipitto. Shaaanxo on youtube uses that and she's in NZ. Not sure of costs though.

Confetti liner!!

Looks like a PITA but also looks super cute and fun, so maybe I'll try this some day when I've got half an hour to put on eyeliner.

THAT IS SO FLIPPIN' ADORABLE. I'm going to try that one day next week when I have off work and consequently can spend 40 million hours on my eyeliner.

That actually looks easier than drawing a solid line. Of course, I'd look like a clown either way.

Confetti liner! That is so cool. I'd be tempted to wear it for my return to eyeliner if it didn't mean buying a ton of eyeliner!

I bet it would look nice with just two colors. I like mixing my (pencil!) silver and gold liners with other colors.

Baps, you should take one for the team and try this technique out for us. You could pull it off and I bet it will look super cute on you.

Agreed, Baps! Test it out! Post funny selfies!

I was thinking it might look cool with the different blacks, glitter blacks, and silvers that I have, but I only have pencil, so I'm not sure it would be the same effect as the liquid eyeliner.

A few years ago, the Chanel SA was trying to show me some new liquid liner they had. After 15 minutes of trying to teach me, she suggested I stick with pencil. I am hopeless. At least I never poke myself in the eye.

Just use eyeshadow with a wet brush! That's what I'm going to do.

Liquid liner is a toughie. I'm still working on mastering it. It doesn't help that I only wear makeup 10% of the time.

Thanks for the recs, everyone! I'm pretty ok with paying 10 or 11 dollars for primer, cosmetics here are definitely pricey and that doesn't seem overly expensive to me. But gee I wish shipping costs were a little cheaper! Still, I can't imagine there's any cosmetics stuff I can get here that can't be found elsewhere that people would wanna swap for, so oh well.

That's what I always do. Pencil liner is okay too, but eyeshadow put on with a wet brush lasts longer for me.

I'm totally sold on the eyeko one for upper lids, it stays on for me all day and I can make decent flicks with it.
