So, I hate sports bras. They don't clip and they make me feel claustraphobic. I found one that clips and I've overused it like crazy, but today while shopping I saw a cute blue one on sale at Target so I bought it. Putting it on is hard, but taking it off? I panicked and was briefly afraid I was going to have to cut the damn thing off to get it off of me. I pulled it up and couldn't get it up over my head and finally pulled an arm out and got it off. It's comfy on, but off? Also, even harder to get off after a sweaty workout!

I've confirmed with one other PPKer that I am not alone in my woes. What about you? Do you get stuck in sports bras? Do you have any you love or hate? Any tips?

What is your approximate size? It sounds like a front close may be best for you or at the least one that you don't slip over your head.

I'd recommend moving comfort or champion. If you are especially busty, I'd recommend enell. I really like Anita sports bras but they are pretty pricey unless you get them on clearance. You also buy for your current bra size (except enell),

I really like Champion sports bras. They have ten million different styles, all rated for what level of support they are. I'm a 36B and there are two different styles I always get. One of them clips, has underwire, and is sized like regular bras except not quite as specific - something like "34/36 because." It's the maximum support rating and I use it for running. They also have tons of other clip ones. If you can get to a Champion outlet store, I think you'd at least have a moderate chance of finding something, depending on what size you are and how picky.

I am not remotely busty. The one I got today was a Champion one and it is nice when it's on, it's just the on/off part that blows. I found a zip front one on amazon - haha!

Ha - I just saw that it changed the bra size to "because" when I meant B / C!
Good luck!

Moving Comfort Fiona is awesome. Buckles in the back just like a regular bra, and the straps are easy to adjust. It's comfortable and very supportive even for running with DDs. :)

i have a zip front that i bought in evil mart a few weeks ago, a danskin, it is so intense that it looks like a bulletproof vest or something (and features TOTAL compression, which i think i need- i am only a C cup but i run and i hate to hurt).
I also just got a really nice (i.e. strong) one that was on sale at Old Navy a few weeks back, but it is pullon and rather restrictive.
i keep saying one day i will buy a moving comfort but i just haven't coughed up the cash yet.

Geez, I can't tell you how many times I've skipped exercising just because I hate wriggling into sports bras so much. It never takes even sixty seconds, but my brain panics for some reason.

I used to have some kind of Moving Comfort bra, and it was super effective. Also super claustrophobic. Looks like I need a clip-front, and possibly some therapy.

Love this bra. It looks good enough to wear alone as a swim top as well.

My friend gave me an Under Armor one that is amazing while I'm running, but is really hard to get on/off. It's the only one I have that actually stops my boobs from flopping around. I know I'm relatively lucky when it comes to exercising since I have smaller boobs (I'm a 32A, but on the larger side of A), but they still hurt when I'm trying to run without support. Most of mine are just crappy Hanes ones that give very little support, but are easy to get off after I've sweated through them. I'd like to get more Under Armor ones, but I feel like I have to practically dislocate my shoulder to get out of it sometimes.

I should have added that I am a 36-C.

Pre-mastectomy I happily wore Under Armour bras and loved them, but now I need a bit more. My issue is that I cannot in any way shape or form tolerate racerback. Hate hate hate hate hate racerback. Very hard to find a decent sports bra in a traditional configuration!

I have a Moving Comfort bra too. It was kind of expensive (I think I bought it at Title Nine but sometimes the REI Outlet site or Sierra Trading Post have them) but it's great. It clips in the back and isn't a racerback, more like beefed-up regular bra.

Oh, yes, true -- I got a couple of mine at Sierra Trading for like half the price.

Right now I'm wearing an old cotton Danskin bra that is falling apart and no good as a sports bra anymore because I wore the heck out of it. So I would have to recommend Danskin as well.

I got a clip-in-the-back one at Marshalls, so I'd look there/tj maxx!
