I bought this moto jacket - I waited till it went on sale: http://www.aeropostale.com/product/inde ... 8.13067665 It has long sleeves and I have pretty long arms... I would like some cute gloves - that fit long fingers - my hands are always cold! What have you bought to keep warm?

I need a new toque. Can someone point me in the direction of one that is warm (it needs to withstand -40 to -50 degrees) and not ugly. And obviously not wool.

I like the jacket, too, but it's sold out in my size. I got this one. It's fleece and cozy and fits perfectly. From: I might buy this, too, but I'm pretty indecisive:

missmuffcake, I had the hardest time finding gloves that fit and finally found a pair in the men's section. They generally seem to have longer fingers so it's easier to find a workable length to width ratio.

I had never heard of a toque so I looked it up but I'm guessing this isn't what you mean: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ToqueOr maybe it is... scrolling down they have the Canadian usage. Are you looking for a hat that sits above your head? Most hats I've seen in the US fit closely to the head.

Pastabake! I am actually in eastern Washington... what town were you in? I didn't know there were any stores in our neck of the woods that carried jackets that stylish!

I was in Winthrop, (so not quite your neck of the woods) at this store. They have a really good sale section and every year I spend way too much money there.

I have a sort of burgundy dress coat which I bought last winter. It's still good, though. I recently bought a really soft, fleecey hoody with bear ears off of the ebays. I also just bought some thermal leggings to wear over my tights (I hate trousers and generally wear dresses all winter) that have reindeers. Sorry if anything's a bit massive.

I bought a peacoat on clearance back in the spring for less than $20. I'm sure people didn't want it because it wasn't wool. Whatever. Cheap vegan coat for me.

I have 'issues' regarding what to wear, and I think thtey are stemming from trying to do too many ethical things at the same time... Unless someone here actually know where to get vegan, sustainabe, fair trade, gmo free clothing?

I think I'm in love with this jacket. It's fake leather with a polyester "teddy" lining. I'm hoping my next paycheck will really say what I need it to say to be able to afford this. Want want want.

Unless someone here actually know where to get vegan, sustainabe, fair trade, gmo free clothing? What specific types of items are you looking for and do you have a specific budget? Hemp and bamboo are two sustainable vegan fabrics that come to mind and I don't think they are generally gmo. You could also look at recycled fabrics as well. Hemp is generally fair trade but I'm not sure about bamboo. Hemp products from canada are a good bet. Again, it really depends on what type of products you are looking for in order to figure out where to look. For coats, Vaute Couture is an option https://www.vautecouture.com/c-2-coats.aspxHoodlamb is another coat option https://hemphoodlambusa.com/You could also search the world of Etsy. I bought some nice fleece fingerless gloves from a seller there and there are all sorts of accessories.
