My roommate wants veg*n Doc Marten-like boots for Christmas and I don't even know where to begin to look. Any fashion conscious PPK gents able to point me in the right direction? Under $125 would be ideal.

Not many vegan mens boots exist really. The ones on listed on Mooshoes.com seem to be the only ones avaliable. I did a lot of research, just kept finding these ones over and over.

http://www.goodgoth.com/unisexboots.htmAnd dare I say, HOT TOPIC: http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/Shoes/ ... 3Egender=MWhat you're looking for is combat boots, and it might not serve you well to search for "vegan combat boots" because it usually leads to exclusively vegetarian cobblers. I can ask around but this is just what I can find online at the moment.

My boyfriend has the ones made by Vegtarian Shoes and has been wearing them for 4 canadian winters and they still look like new. And he's a dude who usually destroys shoes in 6 months.

I have a pair of Docs from Vegetarian Shoes that are, ahem, nearly 20 years old. They still look great.

The Vegetarian Shoes boots look so great, but they're 150US! That might be more than I can afford, but at the same time they'll last much longer than their cheaper counterparts. Hmm.

A shop called Humanitaire (which I only just heard of from Vegansaurus the other day) is going out of business and has everything in their shop on sale. They have the Vegetarian Shoes combat boots for pretty cheap, though you might not have the same choice of sizes that you'd have if they weren't closing out.
