Hey, I think this topic may have been covered here before but I can't find it.
Anyway, I really need a new brush and I really prefer the ones with bristles, not plastic or metal because I have pretty long, fine and tangly hair. I also prefer the paddle type instead of round because I've gotten round brushes stuck in my hair before! But obviously all those drugstore brushes that tout "REAL BOAR BRISTLE" are out. Anyone have a suggestion?

For just brushing/detangling wet (or dry too I imagine) hair, and not for styling, I bought one of those crazy gimmicky Tangle Teezer brushes and it's amazing. I have fine tangly hair and it just glides through and I never have to fight tangles.

For brushing dry hair to distribute oils or to get out loose hair before I shower I like wood bristle brushes because they don't pull at my hair, and my hair can get knotty with the wrong brush. Widu brushes are supposed to be good, but expensive. The one I have is made by I think Earth Therapeutics, the company that makes all sorts of lotions and foot scrubs and stuff like that, I got it cheap at Marshall's years ago.

If I detangle first with the Tangle Teezer I usually style with a classic Denman brush (this kind) http://www.folica.com/tools/hair-brushe ... MgodOxEAvw

It has plastic bristles but they don't have the stupid annoying nub on the tip (I hate the nubs, they always catch on my hair.
