This is the quest for vegan sweaters that are warm and cute. I am desperately on the hunt, any suggestions? And, in the wise words of Kittee, "no fleece".

i just bought an awesome, thick black cardigan at value village today (thrift store) for $6. i think you should just go check out a bunch of secondhand stores! you can find some real treasures.

Do you have a Lauren outlet anywhere nearby? They usually have super warm, super thick, soft cotton sweaters with a shawl collar for around ~$30-40 depending on the sales (sometimes less) in 4 or 5 different colors. I lived in those when it was super cold and snowed in last year--perfect with corduroy skirts and tall boots. They wash and wear really well without pilling, but since I don't put anything cotton in the dryer, they do tend to take an eon to hang dry because they are so thick.

Thanks for these two tips--I'm well-versed in thrift shopping already, and not sure I'm into Lauren but can check it out.
If anyone else has any suggestions for sweaters, I'd love to hear or see them.

Hmmm.... I like the sweaters at American Eagle. Check labels, there is unnecessary wool sometimes.

I love Jcrew's Jackie cardigan. It's simple, slightly retro, and matches everything. And it's cotton! Not particularly warm though.

i found more sweet sweaters at salvation army!!!! got like 4 of them for $20!!

If I can't find what I'm looking for at a thrift store, I really like Target and Old Navy for cute sweaters that don't break the bank.

I can never find sweaters that I like that aren't wool or 10% rabbit or something! I'm in the same boat as you

I feel some what guilty in saying this, but I am broke and I am not finding any good thrift stores around here, I bought a really lovely organic cotton sweater at WALMART for $12.

I hate shopping at Walmart too, especially around the holidays and they built this new gigiantic one here and it is akways packed, always! But I have found quite a few good deals there. I don't go out of my way to shop there but if my Mom buys me something from there, I wear it.

I really want this sweater in the grey but its forty dollars and guarenteed it'll be gone by the time I get money after Christmas Q_Q

I got a really cute green cardigan from there a few months ago, too, its so nice and warm and soft.

yes. i just got a really cute hoody sweater i love. a lot have angora or wool, but there are vegan ones.

I wandered into an Urban Outfitters, which I normally hate, and found that they have a lot of vegan sweaters. I got this one to layer:

There's a papaya clothing store near me and it's very reasonably priced. Good alternative to Old Navy and stuff...
