I have to wear suits to work most days. I need to buy all new ones but don't want the typicall "Ann Taylor corporate" look. I want something with more style and 'flare" (whatever that means), different necklines, more modern. I've checked all the usual suspects: Macys, Nordstrom, Dillards, etc and can't seem to find non corporate looking suits. any ideas where to look?

I don't know what you're looking for exactly but I got my last "suit" at target.
Perhaps not so fashionable, but it was wool-free.

Victoria's Secret online has some nice looking suits that are a bit more sexy and different- wait I'm assuming you're looking for women's suits?

I totally understand this and have had the same problem finding suits that don't read as 'Working Girl' and flight attendant-esque. I've had great luck with Nine West brand, Ann Taylor Loft, and Banana Republic.

i just went shopping for a suit last month and i feel your pain. i found suits that mostly fit into three categories: boring/boxy/"corporate", matronly, or cheap. banana republic had the best cuts and quality for the price, but all of theirs have wool (at least all of their winter-weight stuff they have right now). ann taylor loft had the best options i found but they're still kind of boring. at least they were more fitted. dont rule out getting something tailored, either. i ended up with a pencil skirt that gapped at the waist so i had it taken in by a seamstress for $8.

If you live near a Banana Republic Outlet, I've found non-wool suits there (and our Banana Republic Outlet now carries petites. Woohoo!).

Calvin Klein has some nice suits in interesting styles. I have one that I love that has a tulip skirt and another one with a mandarin collar short jacket. I got one of them for $30 (no kidding) at Marshalls, and the other on sale at macys.com. They are easy to find inexpensively.
The tulip skirt suit looks like it is a small check houndstooth wool, but it is actually a heavy weight cotton-polyester blend.

I would kill for the money to be finally able to buy an amazing Rebecca Taylor or Nanette Lepore suit. I'm obsessed with them. They are gorgeous. Probably wool though, so it's probably good I have no money.
