Those green shoes would be perfect with a tea dress. Such a gorgeous colour, too.

Does anyone know of any vegan avarcas-type shoes? These things:

Mooshoes has a denim pair that I'm considering, but I'd rather have tan or something. I found some on the Forever 21 site, but they have a white lug sole that I'm not feeling.

After a few weeks of deliberation I ordered a pair of derbys from Wills Vegan Shoes to have as work shoes. Now I need work clothes!

My derbys from Wills arrived yesterday. I will reserve judgement until I have worn them out, but I am really happy with the fit. I have wide feet, so I am always afraid when I order shoes online that they will be too narrow, but these are fine. They look like tap shoes which makes me want to dance a bit.

Hi all

I am personally a big fan of ww.beyondskin.co.uk. They are the only brand I have found that make really amazing stylish and quality (made in Spain I believe) shoes. There are a little on the pricey side but I have to say that they have lasted incredibly well so I guess you get what you pay for! x

Bought these clodhoppers ready for Autumn/Winter......

It's been years since I've worn heels but they're so chunky I think I can cope with these.

I love those, Rosie. I just bought a pair of Oxfords with a lug sole - not a high heel though. I like the height they give me, and I can actually walk in them. I feel as though I'm all set for cooler weather. I have my lug soles - all is right with the world.

I want both of these shoes, oh my goodness.

I'm pretty happy, though. Replaced my Payless knee-high boots that haven't stayed up in years and were never a fav anyway with some cute booties. These in black. Yee!

Boober, I bought those last year and I LOVE them. They're so comfortable and they remind me of my first-ever pair of Docs from 1997.

I'm having a shoe crisis!! I travel with a 38L backpack which means that at the most I can take two pairs of shoes with me. At the moment I take black Vans and Keen water shoes which work for most things except that I have no shoes that I can exercise in. Not exercising sucks and trying to work out in Vans or the water shoes I have sucks. Sooo what I need is either a super cute pair of plain black sneakers that I can wear with my regular clothes without feeling like I have no fashion sense at all and that I can work out in or some kinda hybrid sneaker / water shoe with a thick enough sole to protect my feet on sharp rocks but that I can work out in. Is it an impossible dream? I've been looking on & off for three months now but I'm a terrible shopper so maybe I just suck at this rather than all of the shoe options sucking!

jojo - for plain black sneakers you can work out in and wear with cute outfits, see what you think of nike frees (there are at least a dozen versions and most of them come in plain black and seem to be accidentally vegan). I like them for running and I think they look cute with shorts and jeans.

Not plain black, but if you don't mind a bit of colour and you want shoes that (IMO) combine style, comfort & a reasonable ability to work out in then Onitsuka Tiger are a good bet. Loads of synthetic options (plus they've confirmed to me recently they only use vegan friendly glue). I currently wear Sakuradas for day to day & also in the gym - I wouldn't wear them for heavy squats or log distance running but fine for everything else including sprints. Not specifically designed for wet use but they dry out quick!

I workout wherever I can! In some cities there are affordable gyms (yay!) and sometimes I just walk fast outside or do a workout DVD in a hotel room or whichever field I'm camped in. These look great, I'm definitely going to swing by the store in London & try a pair on.

aiee, I don't hate the style of those but I boycott Nike (their labour rights shiz has apparently gotten a lot better but I'm pretty good at holding a grudge!)... JimXVX, I wouldn't mind a bit of colour but those aren't quite my style (I can't quite see them working with a black denim skirt!) buuuut I did find some vegan Skechers flex appeal on the Schuh site which I think are gonna be perfect!

Has anyone had an experience with Nicora?

http://nicorashoes.com/collections/all

Most all of my shoes have worn out and I'm looking for some long-lasting, durable shoes.. don't mind spending, if they are worth the expense..!
