I got these and really like them: http://www.zara.com/us/en/trf/shoes/boots/trf-flat-boot-c503001p1296034.html I can wear them all day without getting too bothered by pain in my big toe/bunion area. I don't think they'd work well if you have skinny calves though as they're a generous cut.

I've been eying those for a while! And I have an $80 refund coming from Cri de Coeur...

Do they hit below your knee? It doesn't say, and I wasn't sure because of the cutout on the back that I always see on over-the-knee boots.

They do hit below the knee; I thought the back cutout was weird at first, but it makes them comfortable, and seems to be 'in' this season. I guess it's riding boot style? But yeah, I'm extremely pleased with them, and everyone at the office thought they were very chic.

Excellent. I only have one pair of black boots, but they've gotten weird and bunchy around the ankle, which drives me crazy so I haven't been wearing them.

Those are cute NDP! Thanks for the suggestion. I have big toe/bunion issues too! And I definitely have the biggest calves I've ever seen...I was given a pair of Hunter wellies and they get stuck...

I think I'm going to sell my Hunters, if I can get anything for them. I've worn them once, and that was almost two years ago. I'm short, and it's just too much boot! Plus they're red, so I feel like I need a whole outfit worked out around them.

Are they the tall Hunters, Amy and Randi? I got the short ones and like then. Couldn't get the tall ones up, haha! The thinner sole on the Zara boots makes them a bit more flexible, and I feel like that helps for foot problems. They definitely don't feel too think or slippy like dress shoes though. It's a nice in between.

I've had mine a couple years now and still like them. I think they're a little wider because they're unisex. I have average width feet and have to wear thick socks and lace them tightly. Just something to consider.

I have the tall Hunters, yes! I'm 5'4" and they hit just a smidge below my knees, which is too high. I should've gotten the short ones, but I don't think I knew about those at the time. I got mine on a desperate, freezing, rainy day in Boston when my feet were soaked. So I loved them at least for one day!

It's just the foot part that I notice being wide, but I have thicker ankles.

The Hunters are INSANELY big in the foot! So I bought a pair in my size (7) and I have to wear 3 pairs of socks just to get by. My mom's friend gave me the same regular black boot in a size 5, and they actually fit perfectly in the foot, but the calf! Oh my god the calf! I can't get them off, so I can't wear them. I would happily trade both my pairs in for a 6 but I'm not sure how to go about switching used footwear with people. :)

I love those, missmuffcake! I have a similar pair, and they've held up pretty well/are comfortable.

Amy-- I got mine for my birthday a couple of years ago when it rained like every day in March or thereabouts. I finally found the short liners last winter, so now I'm all toasty and fleecy.

Randijm, weird! I guess mine are a little big, but the fleece liners definitely help. They aren't THAT big though. If you're going to trade shoes with anyone, at least rubber boots are kind of hygienic?

I asked for Vegetarian Shoes fake Uggs for Christmas. These ones.

http://www.vegetarian-shoes.co.uk/women ... 024_p.html

I looked at the Payless ones but they were really thin and didn't look warm like Uggs. I'm hoping these are nice and warm. I debated the knee high ones but I think I like the short button kind better.

I think a couple of people on here have those, blondiefk. I definitely want a pair, but I usually find something else I want more to spend money on.

Just got these:
http://store.delias.com/product/mia+pip ... mpid=MBRec

And they fit so well that now I'm dying for these too:
http://store.delias.com/product/mia+cro ... mpid=MBRec

I have super muscular calves from years of pointework, and the fit is fabulous. I doubt they're waterproof, so I'll be breaking out the Sorels when it snows, but for now they're lovely!

I just bought these babies, but I doubt they will hold up an entire season...

http://www.modcloth.com/shop/shoes-boots/b-side-by-side-boot

I am still searching for my ultimate...unfortunately I seem to be the pickiest. I have a REALLY narrow foot and cannot tolerate any sort of heel (even 1" bothers me) and I live in puma sneakers half the year, but living in Canada I MUST have boots. Also I only wear black, and don't want faux suede, since slush and salt makes a mess of it. I find most "flat" boots have a 1-2" heel! Sigh. The quest continues...

I really want a pair of vegan fake Uggs. I bought a pair of Uggs in my pregan days and although they were super ugly, they were SO COMFORTABLE. And so warm. I wore them constantly and they lasted probably about five years before I stepped on something and punctured a hole in the sole. I really, really want to find a replacement of high quality vegan ones. Those Vegetarian Shoes ones look really expensive (damn weak US dollar vs. the pound!) so if anyone has them and can speak to their quality, please do!

I have the VS Snug boots and like all VS stuff the quality is super high. This is only the second year I have them and haven't worn them too much this season yet but they're holding up perfectly. the only annoyance is that they run large. I always find it really hard to tell what size to get in VS stuff. I posted about this waay back in this thread last year, but I got the Snug in 41 and I wear a 9 or 9.5 usually, and they were way too big. I had to put in 2 pairs of insoles and wear heavy socks with them.

That said, I would also like the brown button Snug boot now, won't be able to afford them though probably.
