Well, you know, maybe if I get a decent amount back on my tax return or something....? Good to know about the sizing if I decide to splash out in a couple of months.

At the moment I'm working at a vegan cafe with a shoe shop attached, so I see all these gorgeous vegan shoes every day. Most of them aren't really my thing, but they're lovely all the same (albeit very expensive - they're made from really nice materials), and it's really awakening a shoe-lust in me. MUST NOT BUY ALL THE SHOES.

I have them too and I love them though the size on mine was fine.

I'm looking for a vegan version of something like this. 90s style, chunky heel and just a little bit of a platform (no more than 2-3 inches). These are real leather, unfortunately.

I want these SO bad, but they are exclusive to Zappos and cost $75. Since i normally buy all my shoes at payless I can't really fathom spending that much money on shoes.

^ These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, plus they are totally bad asparagus. Worth the money IMO. Count yourself lucky - these shoes cost the equivalent of $100 here in the UK!

Anyone have experience with Wills Vegan Shoes? I just ordered these http://wills-vegan-shoes.com/en/vegan-women-s-flat-chelsea-boots-black.html, and I'm wondering if I made the right size choice. I'm a 7.5 US but I have wide feet, so I went with the 8. Free return shipping though, so I guess if I don't like them I'm on your $15. (Sniffle.)

Those are pretty cute! I prefer matte over glossy material though. I'm considering these right now, if I can't find anything soonish.

The ones you linked probably look more like the ones I originally posted though. Picky self.

Argh, never mind, I misunderstood the description and the boots I posted are actually leather. :(

Ugh, I just came back from a depressing bout of shopping for boots on my lunch hour. The only boots that were non-leather were Madden Girl, and they don't fit me right. Tons of other lovely boots, but they were all leather.

how do those Madden Girl boots seem in terms of quality? Like would they last more than a season in salty, slushy snow & stuff? I've seen them online, may have to check out in person.

They seemed like you *might* get 2 seasons out of them, but if you are wearing them a lot in salt and snow and what-not they would take a beating.

That being said, if it's easy for you to go check them out in person I'd do it, you might really like them!

Which style Madden Girl?

I got these at a discount shoe store near my house for $35. So far I love them.

http://www.zappos.com/report-jesslyn-black

eta- I was looking at these Madden Girl ones because I want something's taller with a heel.

I'm on the hunt for comfy brown, flat boots. I don't want anything with buckles around them. As plain as possible, maybe a little slouchy? Has anyone seen anything lately?

They were the black ones with the red zipper in the back. I like the look of them, but I live somewhere where it's pretty icy/slushy and they use a LOT of salt on the sidewalks so I don't know if they would last more than 2 winters.

$35 is a great price! These were $109 or something so I wasn't feeling it.

These might fit the bill, but I'm still waiting on my non-pointy chelsea boots to arrive. :( They were responsive to my email inquiry at least.

I ordered these today: http://www.zappos.com/madden-girl-klaud ... erralID=NA

I'm not huge on buckles/straps, but I think just on the back maybe I won't mind (plus so boots many have them! it's hard to avoid).

Oooh! I like those, Amy! I also like these ones. http://www.zappos.com/madden-girl-gleee-black-paris

I find the Madden Girl quality OK. I don't wear mine in the rain or wet conditions, and they've held up pretty well. I admit that it's kind of weird having boots that you don't wear in rain/snow though.

I really wouldn't mind cheaper quality if the price lined up, but here (in Canada) they are the same price as higher quality (non-vegan) boots, so it makes me grumpy! Vice versa - I wouldn't mind paying more if I knew the boots were going to last me through a few seasons in rain and salt and stuff.

Amy those are so cute!

I ordered these from Amazon for $64. Much cheaper than Zappos.

Amy and ndpittman I like both those.

I ended up getting the Airseal engineer boot from Vegetarian Shoes. They're $200 but I think they'll last years. I have some fashion boots I got at the end of last year that I just don't wear on messy days.
