Hey. I accidentally posted this a week or so a go in the wrong forum so haven't had any help. Hopefully I'll get somewhere this time.

I have dry/damaged hair from doing several bleach bath's and am looking for a really good deep conditioner. I was all set to get Joico's because I had read somewhere that they were cruelty free and some of their products were vegan but they aren't. I've only been vegan since October 1st this year and I'm slowly but surely learning, I had no idea keratin was animal derived and I only just discovered that yesterday after I'd already brought Joico's violet shampoo :(

I've tried DIY stuff like avocado with coconut oil but that was a hideous experience and seemed to dry my hair more.

I know I've said it a gazillion times, but I really, really love DermOrganic's Intensive Hair Repair Masque, it's got rice keratin and it is paraben and sulfate-free in addition to being vegan. I use it every time I shampoo my hair and it has helped my hair recover amazingly from bleaching.

I'm a product fiend with a lot of deep conditioners, and hands down this one beats all of them. I have no idea why, none of the ingredients look super fancy, but it turned my super bleach damaged hair from crispy straw to soft actual hair again. http://www.giovannicosmetics.com/produc ... tem=NFIX-6

I second this! Even better, you can find the salon sized bottles at TJ Maxx. Full price they're $20, which is $10 less than Ulta but sometimes they'll have them on clearance for $15 or even $10 if they've been there too long.
