I figure today is the day that I'll just pose all of the questions I have to the PPK!
OK, here's the deal. I've tried two vegan deodorants so far, Aubrey Organics E Plus High C and Alba Botanica with tea tree oil, and both have been a little underwhelming. In fact, I can become downright gamey. I think it's taking some getting used to because with my Dove antipersperant I never seemed to sweat much at all (minus at the gym), and I was always smelling like grapefruit and lemongrass or whatever.
What do you use?

I use Mitchum because it's vegan but has all the nasty chemicals of a nonvegan deodorant so I don't sweat.

For everyday use, I like the Nature's Gate deodorants in the orange containers. There are a couple scents that get a little too hippie for me, but some of them just smell fresh and soapy. I can never remember which variety I use and have to smell all the ones at the store when I need a new one.
I use Mitchum for high-sweat situations, like presentations at work or going out dancing.

Yeah, I still use Mitchum when I think I'll sweat a lot or feel I might get stressed, but for day to day use, I've been liking *Terressentials organic roll on zesty citrus super protection deodorant. It has a nice, orange fruity and fresh-smelling scent that I like. I also am a fan of Herban Cowboy Dusk scent. Even though it's for dudes, I wear it frequently and I like the scent, myself.
*edited to correct product name.

I have been doing really well with Jason's tea tree deodorant, and I considered myself to be a very heavy sweater. I don't *think" I smell...

I use Mitchum, too. I've tried a bunch of lovely natural deodorants in pretty packages and they all leave me smelling like a wet goat. I need antiperspirant.

I'm pretty sensitive to fragrance, so I use Jason fragrance free deodorant. It doesn't keep me from sweating, and after a long while I will start to stink of BO, but it's better than nothing.
And if I remember to, I'll pack it in my bag to reapply it later.

I have to use Mitchum or I'll stink up the joint. It's my sweaty gypsy roots!

I don't use deodorant per se, some days I use a rock crystal but mostly I don't use anything, I rarely stink unless I have not showered for a few days, which is rare since I have been working out daily.

If you don't mind making your own this one is the best I've ever tried, hands down: http://angrychicken.typepad.com/angry_c ... eodor.htmlAlso, Weleda spray deodorant, which is available at Whole Foods, is excellent, and good for traveling and the gym.

Is it possible you are extra smelly because you lost your poop? I'm being serious here. Could toxins be building up? The only natural deodorant that works for me (some actually make be smell skunky!) is Kiss My Face Liquid Rock, lavendar scent.

This is always tricky, because it seems like what works varies so much from person to person. For natural ones, I like Origins' No Offense (er, which appears not to be available anymore? frak) and LaVanila (which is crazy expensive and runs out quickly, but smells great). Those both work for me a majority of the time. BUT, though they both work fine even when it's 100 degrees out, they seem to fail when I'm really nervous about something, if that makes any sense. I don't like monitoring my armpits, so I've gone back to chemical-laden but accidentally vegan Ban. (Was vegan when I wrote to them maybe 3-ish years ago). Works great.

I heart all of you guys! Magpie-Grin wrote: Is it possible you are extra smelly because you lost your poop? I'm being serious here. Could toxins be building up? The only natural deodorant that works for me (some actually make be smell skunky!) is Kiss My Face Liquid Rock, lavendar scent. I guess that could be. I'm not sure what to do about that though. I've been drinking a lot f tea and water to flush myself out, but I think I might have to call in some bigger guns. What those guns are loaded with, I can't say. I think I'm going to pick up some Mitchum (per consensus) and try to make my own when I have some time. That would be ideal, but I want to smell unfunky ASAP. Did I mention that I heart you guys?

Switched to a crystal stick for when I'm working, since not everyone can handle the patchouli smell of Lush Aromaco (although it definitely covers up ANY smell, probably even zombie). So far I'm pretty happy with the crystal stick. And I can wear perfume if I want to.

I've been using Mitchum lately. I just got a stick of Tom's of Maine unscented so we'll see how that works.

I'm just about out of my pregan deodorant and need to pick up something new.
Although I don't smell, I SWEAT like a mofo. Serious levels. I get pit-circles on basically all my clothes, NO MATTER WHAT. Seriously, I can be shivering cold and I'll still end up with huge wet pits. What the hell. What. the. hell.
Any suggestions to save me from my shame?

^ I'm not great either, maybe not that bad though. I'm not the smelly type. Similar, basically.
But I use Superdrug (the shop) spray on stuff, "Antiperspirant deodorant, Fresh!" It's labelled vegan and it doesn't smell too bad, sort of soapy. I like it. They do one with silk in it, so avoid that but the plain one is vegan. So they say. :D

I liked Mitchum but the missus got worried about the aluminum content. We've been using Tom's of Maine but I'm not confident in the product. I'll have to see about this DIY deodorant.
