So these bad boys look like Birkenstocks... But are they as supportive as Birkenstocks? I'd totally be down to get vegan Birkenstocks - if they still MADE them!! I'm on the last legs of my non-vegan Birkenstocks and I need replacements soon. I've been looking at the vegan Birki's that are available, but I feel like I'd rather support a cruelty-free company, so I've been thinking of getting the Vegetarian Shoes version...

Does anyone know if they have basically the same footbed/arch support? I'd especially like to know if you had experience with original Birkenstocks and then switched to Vegetarian Shoes... I have falling arches that make it so I'm basically flat footed with insane bunions, and I like sandals because they don't pinch my toes.

I am reviving this thread hoping someone here has experience with this brand. As far as I can make out, Birkenstock no longer produces a completely vegan sandal. This one is. I am hoping someone here can provide information regarding the fit and durability of the Vegetarian Shoe line of sandals.

It is my understanding that Birki is part of Birkenstocks, but i may be wrong. I just bought a pair of vegan birkis pretty recently. It was a lot easier than finding my last pair.
Here's a link on Amazon but they only have a few sizes:
http://www.amazon.com/Birkis-Womens-Sko ... B001H557PA
Here's a link to their website:
http://www.birkenstockusa.com/products/ ... ibuc/15118
Hope that helps!

It does. Because of your help here, I have (finally) found a pair of vegan shoes in my size. Now I am just waiting for them to be delivered. Thank you!!!!
