What nail polish are you wearing?

I think I might be over BL, too. Or I just need to get polish thinning drops, because they're all so thick! Of course a lot of my polishes seem thick--is it something that I'm doing?

I usually adore Lana Del Ray's stiletto nails, but I imagine she has someone else to do everything for her. I can't imagine having them and trying to text. My nails are about 1/8" long now and it's starting to feel weird typing/texting. I have them in a kind of 'squoval' shape. I feel like my grandma always files her nails into more of a stiletto shape though, and there's something old Hollywood glam about it.

i had never heard of stiletto nails until this conversation, so i googled. i'm not sure i like them. i think i'm sooooo used to squared-off nails that they just look foreign to me, heh.

i'm onto my third new zoya, this week it's natty on both fingers and toes:

it doesn't seem so in this picture, but in person it seems darker on the nail than the bottle color, which i actually like. it's similar to what i thought cynthia was going to be, but then cynthia turned out to be sooooo dark. this is a nice smoky navy, with almost a tealy cast to it. i like.

My whole thumbnail came up in a perfect sheet. I was scratching my palm.

Also, dear god Kelly Osbourne. What's the point? She said the bottle was worth $250k, so her manicure was probably only worth what, 1/10th or 1/15h of that, but still. REDIC.

I'm going low key tomorrow--I just did Frenzy. It is very elegant and flattering. I love these griege type colors.

Also, Frenzy is an awesome movie, so there is that.

I wore a coat of BL's Bluey over W&W's black creme and I got lots of compliments from patrons. It's really awesome and metallic.

ooh! I picked up Bluey at Ulta's BOGO and haven't had a chance to wear it yet.

Currently sporting BL Saucy Jack. Something about red nails just makes me so happy.

I really love BL as long as I use base and top coats, lasts longer than any other polish for me. Without either, it's chipped in 2 days. I haven't ran across any that are thick yet either. I only have maybe 7 of them though.

BL lasts as long on me as other brands. For those who have not sworn it off, you should really get Wallis. It's amazing. I was skeptical, because I hate golds and I have almost 400 bottles of polish, but this one is super awesome and special.

I loooooove Wallis. It's one of my favorites out of a collection of 650-700 bottles. In my top ten for sure.

Wallis and All Hail the Queen will always be special for me. I haven't tried them lately, so I don't know if they're getting gummy. I think it might be something I'm doing.

How do you take care of hang nails? I used a bit of glue on a broken nail (my thumbs always break - just like my mom's nails) and a bit got stuck on my skin. I went to pull it off and tugged on a hang nail and my freakin' thumb hurts now. :/

I have not really painted my nails lately - besides a bi weekly pedi. Everything I try just chips and it ruins my mood.

I always nip mine off with cuticle scissors or cuticle nippers so they dont catch on anything and rip further.

and as far as Blue Cross? Found more than one site which listed them as Cruelty free... so WOOT!! More polishes~~~

You guys! I went to the store and bought 6 bottles of nail polish and when I got to the counter, I received a nice surprise- 1 or 2 of the bottles were on sale for .99 cents each and I now have $4 on my card towards my next purchase at that store so I'm going back and getting more nail polish. They also have stripers on clearance for 75% off, so I might pick up some of those, too.

If anyone is looking for nail polish storage, Target (at least at mine) has a bunch of those canvas closet organizers for 50% off, including a three drawer set ($12 on sale). Each drawer holds about 70 bottles of polish, obviously this makes the drawers a little heavy but they have hard bottoms and the drawers are plenty tall.
