I'm going to try and get back into blogging and eating. Hoping to cook through some of the cookbooks I started cooking through.

Maybe try a different cookbook each day? Not sure... theme will be solidified.

Panda, I hope your plans to cook your way through Little House on the Prairie are still on. I bought the official cookbook in anticipation.

I think I'm in. I need to come up with a better plan though. Last year I started out trying to make lots of really interesting fancy time-consuming things all the time but got super burned out on it. I did all 30 days but by the end it was like "yeah, here's a photo of my leftover pizza."

Oh shiitake. Was I supposed to do that this year? I got the cookbook out of the library last winter but never attempted anything.

I'm going to do the foodles (food doodles: drawing everything I eat in a day) again, but this time I'm just going to draw them right on the computer with the trackpad on my laptop so I can save myself a lot of coloring/scanning time. I will hopefully be able to actually finish this year, as mofo doesn't fall during my finals!

My boyfriend said my theme should be dinosaurs, but I don't really know how to make that happen except using my dinosaur cookie cutters for everything. So I think my theme is going to be finding 30 different ingredients I have never used before and making stuff with them. That way if I don't have lots of time I can just make something simple or if I have more time it can still be fancy. I'm considering making little slips of paper with the ingredients listed on them and choosing one at random each morning. I'm also thinking about doing some sort of once a week (probably weekend) "Chopped" style ingredient challenge where I draw a few random ingredients and have to make something with them...

Nope! I'm doing a different one for each day of the week as well. I was going to stick solely with San Antonio, but I got way too excited when I started planning out the month.

I'd love to sign up! I am a fledgling blogger who posts rather irregularly and I'd like to change that. I am going to focus on:

- 50% on South Indian recipes (being one myself), which I dont see featured very often on all the fab vegan blogs I read, but stuff I ate growing up which were almost naturally vegan. I also want to veganize the vegetarian south indian dishes.
- 50% from my burgeoning cookbook collection, while making use of the ethnic markets in the bay area

This is just the right kind of inspiration. Very excited and looking forward to spreading my blog-wings.

I was going to do a really ambitious project with interviews and cooking every day and audience participation and all that jazz...but I think that might (a) end up taking way too much time and money and (b) interfere with the other projects I need to be working on. So I might not do a theme...or I might come up with something different and less labor-intensive.
